Scene 1
[The first scene slowly opens up after the opening credits to show most of the Mallrats gathered within the canteen most of there are still wearing their night clothes. They are sat around tables in small groups, some are drinking coffee while others stare across the room, no one dares to speak, they are all thinking about one thing]
(Camera pans around as Lex and bray step into the canteen dressed in their travelling clothes. Everyone turns their attention to the boys hoping for good news. Bray slowly nods his head before he lets his body drop into one of the empty chairs)
[Camera pans around to show Lottie as she hugs Xavier closer to her chest to scared to let him go, Sammy wraps one of his arms around her waist)
[Camera slowly pans out before cutting to the next scene]
Scene 2
[The scene cuts from the previous scene to show Cass and Ryan sitting in their room, Cass is huddled into a ball, as Ryan sits with Jake, rocking his son. Cass sobs loudly as she starts to rock gently. The camera then moves to the doorway as Trudy quietly steps into the doorway and Cass looks up.]
Cass: Where? Have you?
(Trudy shakes her head softly)
Trudy: I am so sorry!
Ryan: There's no sign?
(Trudy shakes her head)
Trudy: We'll keep searching. We will keep looking until we find her.
Ryan (weakly): Thanks.
(Trudy turns to walk away as Cass leaps up and runs to the doorway)
Cass: PLEASE FIND HER... FIND MY DAUGHTER!
Ryan: Cass! Please!
(Ryan and Cass embrace as Jake is squashed in the middle of them)
Cass: I WANT MY DAUGHTER!
[Cass's sobs and cries echo through the hallway as Trudy breaks down into tears and runs away down the corridor. The camera pans back around to show Ryan and Cass before fading.]
Scene 3
[Camera fades in from black to show Apollo and Phoenix walking towards the Freedom Fighters base, as they get closer to the building they nod at different members of tribe out of mutual respect.]
Guard 1: Can I help you Mallrats?
Phoenix: we need to see Dreamer it’s of great importance
Guard 1; (nods) very well!
(Phoenix and Apollo enter the building and make their way along the corridors until they reach Dreamers office. Phoenix holds out his arm before turning to his brother)
Phoenix: (Smirks) Let me do the talking…we don’t want this turn into a love confession!
(Phoenix steps forward and gently knocks on the door)
Dreamer: (Of screen) Come in!
(Phoenix slowly opens the door and the two brothers step in. Apollo gives Dreamer one of his biggest smiles which in turn makes Dreamer let out a groan)
Dreamer: How can I help you boys?
Apollo: (smirks) Will if that isn’t an offer I don’t know what is?
(Phoenix shakes his head but cant help but laugh at the same time)
Phoenix: We need your help…the Mallrats need your help
Dreamer: What a surprise? What’s happened now, your precious girlfriend break a nail
Phoenix: (frowns) No…more like Salene has lost it and stolen baby Kacie and we can’t find her anywhere
Dreamer: Oh god! I’m so sorry! Of course we will help? When was she last seen?
Phoenix: I’m not sure, Cloe was found knocked out last night in the cell which we kept Salene in…
Dreamer: (looks away) I don’t want to be the one to say this but do you not think she has left the city by now!
Phoenix: (Nods) that is one of our fears, yes!
Dreamer: (Stands up) I’ll see what I can do!
Phoenix: thank you!
[Phoenix and Apollo turn to leave as Apollo leaves the room he cant help himself to turn around and give Dreamer a wink before the scene fades to black]
Scene 4
[Camera cuts in from the previous scene to show Ellie storming after Alice as the older of the pair walks down the corridor, not stopping to listen to her younger sister.]
Ellie: I'm not going to keep following you!
Alice: So don't!
Ellie: We need to talk Alice... you can't just move out, not know not with everything going on!
Alice: I can and I will!
(Ellie reaches out to grab hold of Alice's arm)
Ellie: I don't understand!
(Alice spins around to see Ellie)
Alice: Look, I told you once, I told you twice! It's my life and I will do want I want... now leave me alone!
(Alice walks away really fast as Ellie sighs and throws her arms up in the air)
Ellie: Urgh! Sisters! Who needs them?
[Ellie storms off towards her bedroom as the camera fades to black.]
Scene 5
[Camera fades in from black to show Cass sitting alone in her room, she is sitting on a chair rocking gently, the camera pans around to show Amber and Trudy standing in the doorway as they watch.]
(Cass sings softly to herself)
Hush, little baby, don't say a word,
Daddy's gonna buy you a mockingbird.
And if that mockingbird won't sing,
Daddy's gonna buy you a diamond ring.
And if that diamond ring turns to brass,
Daddy's gonna buy you a looking glass.
And if that looking glass gets broke,
Daddy's gonna buy you a billy goat.
And if that billy goat won't pull,
Daddy's gonna buy you a cart and bull.
(Trudy and Amber look at each other)
Cass: And if that cart and bull turn over,
Daddy's gonna buy you a dog named Rover.
And if that dog named Rover won't bark.
Daddy's gonna buy you a horse and cart.
And if that horse and cart fall down,
You'll still be the sweetest little baby in town
Amber: This isn't good at all!
Trudy: We need to find Kacie before she loses it... big time!
Amber: I agree!
[The camera pans around to show Cass and pans to her emotionless face before the camera fades to black.]
Scene 6
[Scene fades in from black we see Ryan storming through the airport pulling his jacket on, a chair is standing in his way and he sends it flying across the room. Hearing the noise, Lex and KC come out from the canteen to see Ryan heading out. They share a glance before they both grab their own coats and follow Ryan]
(Camera cuts to show Ryan heading down the road, in the distance we can see Lex and Kc running to catch up with him as they call his name)
Ryan: (Calls back) Go away…I gotta find my daughter!
(KC catches up with Ryan first and places a hand on his shoulder, which Ryan shrugs off)
KC: Come on Ryan how is this helping?
Ryan: get lost KC!
(Lex finally catching up, he grabs Ryan and spins his best friend around to face him)
Lex: (Shouting) Ryan you gotta calm down!
Ryan: Calm down? (shouting) CALM DOWN! That Bitch Salene has kidnapped my baby girl and you want me to calm down!
Lex: (calmer) we will find her Ryan, you gotta trust us…but you storming off isn’t going to help anyone…Cass needs you…Jake needs you!
Ryan: I….
(Ryan breaks down and falls into his best friends embrace.)
Lex: (Pats his shoulder) Come on big man lets get you home!
[Unable to speak Ryan nods and allows Kc and Lex to guild him back to the airport. Camera follows them before fading to black]
Scene 7
[The camera cuts to a scene of Calli, she sits in her room, whilst Rain plays with Brady, she turns away from the children to look in the mirror and brushes her hair.]
Calli: Who am I?
(Calli closes her eyes and puts her head in her hands as she sighs)
FLASHBACK
(Images of Danni with the Mallrats and Calli with the Trojans flash across the screen, in no particular order and with no sense of order)
END FLASHBACK
(Calli opens her eyes and looks into the mirror once again before she resumes brushing her hair)
Calli: Am I Calli?
[The camera fades to the next scene.]
Scene 8
[Camera fades in from previous scene to show the Chosen camp. Camera zooms in on one of the many huts. The door opens and the Guardian steps out through the gap we can see a girl moving from under the covers in the bed. The Guardian closes the door behind and goes down the wooden steps]
Guardian: (talking to himself) Not long now my master and the chosen family will be complete…the Chosen children will rise above the others and where we have failed they will not. You have shown me the future and the only light is the chosen children….
[The guardian walks past the camera still talking to himself until he reaches the pray hut, he enters it and closes the door behind him causing the screen to turn to black]
Scene 9
[The camera fades in from black to show Dreamer sitting in her office at the Freedom Fighter base, a knock at the door is heard as Dreamer looks up.]
Dreamer: Come in...
(Ebony pushes open the door and walks in, taking a seat opposite Dreamer's desk.)
Ebony: So, are you going to tell me?
Dreamer: Tell you what?
Ebony: What's going on? This place is all hyped up, it's like it was when the Krul were attacking.
Dreamer: It's the airport.
Ebony: Yeah... and?
Dreamer: It's... Salene. She's stolen a baby.
Ebony: WHAT?
Dreamer: One of the twins, you know Ryan and Cass's children, she stole the little girl!
Ebony: Oh no!
(The colour drains from Ebony's face as she puts her hand on her own pregnant bump, the baby kicking as she does.)
Ebony: Excuse me!
(Ebony gets up and moves to leave the office)
Dreamer: Ebony?
Ebony: I don't feel very well!
[Ebony runs out of the office, her hand over her mouth as Dreamer shakes her head and signs, the camera then fading to black.]
Scene 10
[Camera follows Cass as she storms down one of the corridors in the airport, she pushes May’s bedroom door open where she picks up the nearest item, a shoe, and throws it at May who is coming out of the Bathroom]
(May quickly ducks using her hands to cover her face)
May: (shocked) What the hell Cass?
Cass: (Cries) It’s all your fault, you dirty lesbian! If it wasn’t for you none of this would of happened?
(May is shocked as the words comes out of Cass’s mouth. She slowly stands up and holds up her arms)
May: Hold up there….
Cass: (Shakes her head) NO May! If only you could of given Salene want she wanted she would of never taken my baby!
May: (Nods) I know and I’m so sorry!
Cass: (Laughs) Sorry? Oh your sorry well that makes everything better doesn’t it
(Cass picks up the other shoe and lunges for may with the shoe in her hand. May quickly jumps over the bed to the other side)
May: Cass calm down! Your gunna get yourself hurt!
Cass: I’m already broken may, now you will feel what I feel!
(Cass throws the shoe at May before jumping over the bed, she slams May against the wall and starts to hit the other girl. May does her best to protect herself she is then able to grab both of Cass’s arms)
(Both girls stand still breathing heavily)
May: (Whispers) Cass?
Cass: MY baby girl is gone
[May lets Cass fall into her arms as she breaks into tears May slowly lows them both to the fall until they are resting on their knees. May can’t help but let tears fall from her own eyes as she comforts the young mother. Camera slowly pans out before fading to black]
Scene 11
[Scene fades in from black to show Ryan lying on his bed, his head is in his hands, he looks to the side of him at a picture of his once happy family sat on the bedside table. Anger builds up inside him and Ryan can no longer control his anger]
(He jumps up from the bed and starts to pull pictures down from the walls, once this is done he starts throwing clothes out from the wardrobe before he starts to kick at the object with anger)
(Camera cuts to the cot to show Jake has woken up he cries out. Ryan looks over at the cot and starts to clam down. He walks over to the cot and picks his son up)
Ryan: I’m so sorry…shhh shh…
[Ryan slowly rocks Jake as tears roll down his face. Camera zooms in on Ryan’s face before cutting to the next scene]
Scene 12
[Camera cuts to Jack’s and Ellie’s room, jack is sat on the edge of the bed watching Ellie who is pacing back and forth. Ellie shakes her head before coming to a stop and sitting next to Jack]
Ellie: (looks up at Jack) How could she do this to me Jack? After all these years of being apart she just packing up again and leaves me without a care about how I feel….how could she?
(Jack unsure how to answer the question correctly just shrugs his shoulder and wraps one of his arms around her shoulder)
Jack: You’ll always have me Ellie!
Ellie: (Smiles) I know Jack and I love you for that…but she’s my sister all the family I have left I cant lose her not again….
(Ellie lets her head rest on Jack’s shoulder as silent tears falls from her eyes. Jack leans closer and places a kiss on her forehead)
Jack: You won’t lose her I doubt she will go very far…
Ellie: She better not or I’ll kill her!
[Camera pans out before fading to black]
Scene 13
[The camera fades in from black to show Trudy as she sits braiding Brady's hair, her mind wanders back over memories.]
FLASHBACKS
Trudy: Where's my baby?
END FLASHBACK
(Trudy sighs sadly as she picks up Brady's bear and hands it to her daughter)
FLASHBACK
Trudy: Just get out of my site; I hate you. I don't want you ever to be anywhere near me every again
END FLASHBACK
(Trudy picks up Brady and pulls her onto her lap)
Trudy: Give mummy a hug sweetie!
(Brady laughs and hugs Trudy tightly)
Trudy (whispers): I love you so much Brady!
[Camera cuts to the next scene.]
Scene 14
[Camera cuts from the last scene to show Lex and KC searching the streets and empty buildings of the city, the two boys come out from a car parking lot and walk along the long empty road]
KC: Do you think we will find her Lex?
Lex: (Shrugs) a part of me hopes we do but then there is another part of me telling me to give up she is long gone…
KC: (nods) We gotta find her…for Ryan’s sake and Cass’s….
Lex: Well were do you suggest we look next?
KC: (Smiles) Maybe a park?
(Lex heads of down the road and KC runs to catch up)
KC: Where you going?
Lex: Towards the nearest park…isn’t that what you meant
KC: (Nods) Yep!
[Camera follows the two Mallrats as they head down the road. The scene slowly fades to black]
Scene 15
[Camera fades in from black to show an exhausted Patsy dragging her feet into her bedroom she kicks off her shoe’s and drops onto her bed before pulling the covers over her head. A couple of seconds later she pulls the covers back down and sits up. She rubs her eyes and lets out a yawn.]
Patsy: right I’ve searched for Kacie and had no luck….I’ve seen KC for a couple of minutes and I can see him again tonight after I’ve had another look for Kacie…now I gotta go and see Cloe…….and now I’m talking to my self….just great…ok you can stop now!
(Patsy lets out a groan and drops back onto her bed, she clothes her eyes for a second)
Patsy: I’ll go and see Cloe in a second..i think a shower is in order first!
[Camera zooms in on Patsy before fading to the next scene]
Scene 16
[Camera fades in from black to show May walking down the corridor she comes to a stop outside Amber’s room she knocks on the door before entering. She finds Amber sat on the floor playing with Bray Jnr.]
Amber: (Looks up) Everything ok May? Are the search parties back yet?
May: Patsy, Gel and Darryl are back not sure about the other though….I was wondering if we could have a quick chat?
Amber: (Nods) I'm guessing its got something to do with Salene hasn’t it?
May: What else would it be about?
(May sits herself down on the floor and smiles at Bray as he plays with his train set.)
May: I’m scared Amber?
Amber: There is nothing to be scared off as soon as we find Salene we will lock her up again…we might even have to give her to the Freedom Fighters to be on the save side!
May: (shakes her head) I’m not scared of Salene…
Amber: (Confused) OH?
May: I’m scared of what she might do…(finds it hard to get her words out) of what she might do to Kacie…
Amber: Salene wouldn’t hurt her would she?
May: (Mocks Amber) Wouldn’t she? Come on Amber Salene hasn’t been right for a long time she is fallen apart what do you think she will do if we do find her…she nearly jumped of the roof with Oscar…I wont be surprised if she does the same sort of thing with Kacie if any of them get near to her…
Amber: So your saying we should let her get away?
May: (shakes her head) I’m saying we should expect the worst…we shouldn’t get Ryan and Cass's hopes up cause even if we find Salene what’s to say that Kacie is still alive!
(A look of horror crosses Amber’s face, she quickly pushes herself up from the floor)
Amber: Look after Bray
May: (shocked) Amber?
Amber: I’ll be right back…
[Amber quickly rushes out of the room. May smiles at Bray hoping he didn’t catch on to anything that had been said. Camera zooms out before cutting to the next scene]
Scene 17
[The camera cuts in from the previous scene and pans to show Alice walking down the street, a bag slung over her shoulder as she smiles and walks casually down the road, before she comes to a stop. The camera then pans around to show that Alice is looking at a petite blonde girl who is locking up a bar.]
Alice: Don't tell me you're closing already?
(The girl looks a little startled and turns around)
Girl: Yeah, we're what you might call short staffed!
Alice: Can't I get one drink?
(The girl shakes her head and finishes locking up)
Girl: I've just done a long shift, right now I'm going home to sleep.
Alice: Well can I help out. I mean it's not like I have anything better to do.
(The girl puts her hands on her hips and stares at Alice)
Girl: Brooke
Alice: Huh?
Brooke: Yeah, that's my name? Don't you have one?
Alice (laughs): Yeah. It's Alice.
Brooke: Nice to meet you Alice. Say, aren't you one of those Mallrats that lives up at the airport?
Alice (shakes her head): Not anymore I'm not. I'm looking for something of my own.
Brooke: Well you may just have come to the right place. Ever since my partner Foxy left a week ago. I've been on my own.
Alice: Where'd she go?
Brooke (shrugs): I don't know. She just didn't come to work one day and no one has seen her since!
(Alice sighs as Brooke throws her the keys)
Brooke: Can you start now?
[Alice laughs and the camera fades to black as she smiles.]
Scene 18
[Camera cuts from the last scene to show Cloe lying in her bed with the covers pulled up to her neck. Beads of sweat are present on her forehead. Camera pans around to show a concerned Patsy standing in the door way with her arms folded over her chest]
(Cloe wakes up and starts to cough she finds it hard to sit up and starts to hit her chest as the coughing comes more violent and she is unable to breathe. Patsy rushes to her friend’s side and picks up the glass of water on the side. She hands it to Cloe who takes a sip.)
[As the coughing fit comes to an end, Cloe lies back down and closes her eyes to go back to sleep. Camera zooms in on her before fading to black]
Scene 19
[Camera fades in from black to show two people kissing passionately, their hands roaming over each other. As the camera gets nearer to the couple, we can see that it is Slade and Trudy, the pair of them kiss for several minutes before Trudy rests her forehead against Slade's]
Slade: What's the matter?
Trudy: This is. We should be looking for Kacie... and I'm here kissing you.
Slade: It's not bad to be spending a few moments together!
Trudy: It is! When Brady went missing it was the worse time of my life, until you have a child, carry them, love them, you can't know what it's like when they get taken. I can't believe I'm being so selfish staying here with you.
Slade: So!
Trudy: So... I have to go! I can't be here, not now!
(Trudy runs off, straightening her hair and clothes as she does. Slade shakes his head and sighs)
Slade: TRUDY!
[Camera fades to black.]
Scene 20
[The camera fades in from black, Lex sits in the cafe watching Tai-san as she makes some lunch in the kitchen, KC slips into the seat next to him as he turns and nods to the man.]
KC: How's it going?
(KC motions towards Tai-san)
KC: With everything, baby and all?
Lex: Just great. Not only do we now have to worry about pregnancy in general, but now one of our own is a baby stealing lunatic, things couldn't be better!
KC: Hmm.
Lex: Yeah, now all I want to do is see my baby born safely, but I can't help but think that they may not happen.
(KC puts a hand on Lex's shoulder)
Lex: I'm thinking that I might be best if I lock her in the bedroom until the baby is born, at least then I'll know they're both safe.
KC: Yeah, you could do that, but Tai-san would never let you!
Lex: True!
[Camera cuts to the next scene.]
Scene 21
[Camera cuts from the previous scene to show Lottie rocking baby Xavier to sleep with staring out of her room’s window. Sammy comes up behind her and wraps his arms around her waist]
Sammy: (Whispers) We will find her…she has to out there somewhere
Lottie: What if she isn’t what if she is long gone…it will be all my fault!
Sammy: (Confused) How did you come to that conclusion?
Lottie: Oh come on Sammy everyone will blame me…I took the one thing that Salene wanted the most away from her and she then goes and snatches someone else’s baby ...go figure!
(Lottie pulls away from Sammy and crosses the room to place Xavier in his cot. Sammy follows her and takes her hands into her own)
Sammy: Please don’t do this to yourself Lottie….you cant start blaming yourself! You had every right to ask for your son back and everyone backed you up on that…Salene is sick she cant help it…no one could of predicted what she did.
Lottie: (shakes her head) It doesn’t matter…if I was Cass…I would be blaming myself
Sammy: Cass will blame everyone she has just lost her daughter….we all got to be strong for her so that we are able to help her through this!
(Sammy pulls Lottie into a tight embrace)
Sammy: This is going to sound awful….but you got to be happy that we still have our Xavier!
Lottie: Your right that is awful but I can’t help but agree…we are such bad people!
Sammy: (Shakes his head) No we are parents who don’t want to see any harm coming to our son!
[Lottie nods and the couple share a kiss. Camera zooms in on Xavier before fading to black]
Scene 22
[The camera fades in from the previous scene to show Amber sitting in the meeting room at the airport, there is a knock at the door as she turns around and reaches for the handle pulling it open to show Dreamer standing in the doorway.]
(Dreamer looks at the ground and isn't able to meet Amber's eyes)
Amber (sighs): You didn't find her did you?
Dreamer (shakes her head): I'm sorry, we've looked everywhere. We haven't found Salene or the baby.
Amber (sighs): God... what am I going to tell Cass and Ryan?
Dreamer: I'm so sorry!
Amber: Thanks for your help! I just don't want to be the bearer of bad news.
[Dreamer nods and smiles weakly as she turns to leave, Amber closes the door as she sits back down and puts her head in her hands before she starts to cry and then the camera cuts to the next scene.]
Scene 23
[The camera pans in to show a busy bar, people are sitting at the bar as Abadeo plays in the background. A blonde haired girl walks up the bar with a pile of dirty glasses and puts them on the bar.]
Brooke: Yo Alice!
(The camera pans to the other end behind the bar as the familiar figure of Alice is seen and she smiles)
Alice: Yeah?
Brooke: How are your washing up hands?
Alice: Good. Why?
Brooke: Got a little present for you?
(Brooke motions to the pile of dirty glasses)
Alice: Oh great!
Brooke: Bet you didn't know what you were getting yourself into, did you?
Alice: Not really?!
[Alice laughs and picks up the tray as the camera then fades to black on Alice's smiling face.]
Scene 24
[The camera pans around to show the Mallrats that have gathered in the meeting room of the airport, Bray stands next to Amber, a supportive arm around her waist as he smiles weakly at her. The tension between the pair of them good as they present a united front.]
Amber: Thanks for coming everyone. I'm not going to keep you long. I just want to keep you all up to date with what's going on.
(The Mallrats are all silent)
Amber: The Freedom Fighters have been scouring the city for Salene and for Kacie... but they haven't found anything.
Trudy: Nothing?
Amber (shakes her head): Nothing there's no sign of them. It leaves us with only one conclusion....
(The Mallrats shake their heads as they realise what Amber is about to say)
May: …she's left the city. She's stolen the baby and she's run away. She's not coming back!
Amber (nods): That's what we're thinking!
Tai-san: Oh god!
Trudy: Who's going to tell Ryan and Cass?
[The camera cuts to black.]
Scene 25
[Camera slowly fades in to the last scene as Britney Spears – My Baby plays. Camera travels to the room which Ryan and Cass share.]

(We find Cass sat crossed legged on her bed. She picks up one of Kacie’s teddy and brings it up to her face before breathing in the sent)

(She lets her body sink down so that she is now lying down, she hugs the teddy close to her chest as tears start to roll down her face)

[Camera slowly starts to pan out as Cass starts to cry harder. Camera fades to black as the song dies down]
[End credits cut in]
