Scene 1
[The camera cuts in to show the scene from the previous episode, with Caleb standing over Brady with a pillow in his hand.]
Slade: I said... what the hell are you doing?
(Caleb smirks as he looks at Slade and shrugs)
Slade (angry): Step away from Brady!
Caleb (laughs): I'm doing Zoot's work!
Slade: Zoot! What the fuck?
Caleb: I am a messenger from the great one... the unholy child must be killed. She is not the true blood of Zoot.
(Slade steps in and grabs the pillow away from Caleb, pushing him against the wall as he does. He looks away for a moment to check that Brady is okay, and he sees that she is still breathing. In the moment that he had looked away, Caleb moves quickly out of the room.)
Slade: Hey!
(Slade runs out of Brady's room, into the hallway. The camera follows Caleb down the hallway as he heads out of the airport)
Caleb (looking over his shoulder): Blaspheme!
[Slade, more concerned for Brady than catching Caleb returns to Brady's room and looks down at the sleeping child. The camera zooms to her face and then fades to black.]
Scene 2
[The camera fades in from black to show Cass lying in bed, the sunlight streams through the window as she opens her eyes and yawns, her gaze immediately falls on Jake's crib and she smiles reassuringly when she sees him staring over at her. Cass slips out of bed and moves to his crib, picking him up as she goes back to bed and her son snuggles up to her. It is at that point that Cass looks over at the piece of paper on the bedside table. She frowns and picks it up to read it.]
Ryan OV: Dear Cass, I'm sorry that it's come to this. I love you and I love our family, but I can't keep doing this, I can't keep living on dreams. I'm going away, to find myself and I hope while I'm gone you'll find the peace of mind you deserve. I'll miss you and I'll always love you. Yours Ryan.
(Cass crumples up the piece of paper and tosses it on the floor, turning her attention back to Jake.)
Cass: Mummy loves you Jake.
[Jake gurgles and the camera pans from the crumpled note and to the mother and son on the bed before fading to black.]
Scene 3
[Camera fades in from black to pan around Brooke’s now empty bar, the camera pans past empty bottles and glasses before going up the stairs it passes Alice’s room to show her still fast asleep with the covers wrapped around her, it then goes to the other bedroom to show Darryl asleep in the bed as the camera pans around the bed to show that a semi naked Jared is lying next to him fast asleep as well]
(Darryl stirs in his sleep before opening his eyes allowing them to adjust to the light, he pushes his body up and runs his hands over his face as he lets a yawn out, he turns to look out the window when he notices Jared lying next to him)
(Darryl recovers his face and shakes his head)
Darryl: (whispers) You idiot!
(An image of Axel and Darryl kissing fills the screen before we watch Darryl slowly climbing out of the bed, he pulls on his trousers and grabs his T-shirt before he leaves the room)
(Camera cuts to show him now sitting alone at the bar with a glass of water in front of him)
Darryl: what am I doing?
[As the camera pans out, we see Jared coming down the stairs he rests his head on the banister as he watches Darryl. Scene fades to black]
Scene 4
[Camera fades in from black to show most of the Mallrats gathered in the canteen, no one is really talking due to the death of Cloe]
May: (Breaks the silence) We really should do a funeral for her soon
Jack: (Nods) I agree…has anyone told Lex and Tai-San yet?
Enola: (shakes her head) No, let them celebrate the birth of their son first before they know what has happened
(The room falls into silence again as they think over what has just been said)
Apollo: Anyone spoken to Patsy
Trudy: No…KC said she wants to be alone…god it must be so hard on her, her and Cloe have been friends since the virus first hit she must be so heart broken
Enola: At least she has KC
Trudy: (nods) Yea…
[Camera slowly pans out before fading to black]
Scene 5
[The camera cuts in from the previous scene to show Lex and Tai-san's room, Tai-san is lying down on the bed, her eyes closed, Lex is wandering around the room, his new born son lying in his arms as he looks down at him proudly. The baby opens his eyes and lets out a loud yawn.]
Lex: Hush son, mummy is sleeping...
Tai-san: Not any more.
(Lex looks over at Tai-san who pushes herself up to a sitting position)
Lex: Sorry... we we're trying to be quiet.
Tai-san (smiles): It's okay... I was just drifting. (motions to the baby) How is he?
Lex: He yawns a lot...
Tai-san: I suppose it's tiring... being born!
Lex: I suppose it is.
(Lex takes a seat on the bed next to Tai-san and hands the newborn over to her.)
Tai-san: So, what should we call him?
Lex: Lex jnr?
Tai-san (shakes her head): No offence, but I don't think it suits him...
Lex: Hmm, Bobby?
Tai-san: I think something a little more manly... what about Stave?
Lex: Ew, no... Um Theo?
(Tai-san looks down at the baby)
Tai-san: Theo... I like it.
Lex: It suits him.
(The new parents laugh and look down at their son)
Tai-san: Welcome to the world Theo...
[The baby gurgles and the camera fades to black.]
Scene 6
[Camera fades in from black to show Axel sat on his own at the breakfast bar a cold coffee sits in front of him, untouched. Camera pans out to show Gel looking down at him from the upper level. She shakes her head before making her way to see him]
Gel: (Takes a seat next to her) everyone makes mistakes but it takes a real man to patch things up!
Axel: (looks up) What you on about?
Gel: Come on Axel it doesn’t take a genius to work out that breaking up with Darryl was a mistake; you’re a miserable sod without him!
Axel: Gee thanks Gel…and yea it was a mistake but there is no way I can fix it he’s left the city, he’s gone now!
(Gel can’t help but smile at this, like she knows a secret)
Gel: I wouldn’t be so sure if I was you
Axel: (Confused) What you on about?
(Gel leans closer to Axel so that he can hear her better)
Gel: Darryl is still in the city, he’s working with Alice now…at Brookes bar and someone should really go and tell them about the baby and Cloe
Axel: That someone being me?
Gel: (nods) it will help the healing process for both of you!
Axel: I hope your right Gel
Gel: I’m always right!
[Axel stares at the coffee for a moment before jumping up and grabbing his jacket. Camera follows him as he leaves the airport]
Scene 7
[The camera fades in from black to show Amber lying in bed, her back is turned away from the door as the camera pans around to show Bray knocking at the door. ]
Bray: You wanted to see me?
(Amber says nothing but raises her hand and motions for Bray to enter)
Bray: Amber?
Amber: Shut up... I don't want to listen to your excuses. I only have one thing to say to you. This is a one time offer. Do you understand.
(Bray nods)
Bray: Yes. Yeah.
Amber: I don't want to know why you did it. Or what you did. I know that my son needs his father and that you're the only man I've ever loved. I don't even know if that means anything to you.
Bray: It does...
Amber: Shut up. I'm still talking.
Bray (lowers his head): Sorry.
(Amber turns her head to face Bray)
Amber: This is it. The final chance. I will give you one more chance, for us. But the big condition is that it's on my terms and conditions. Not yours. Any screw ups and your gone, if it blows up, you'll agree to leave me and Bray jnr and not to be a part of our lives. That is my final offer, take it or leave it.
(Bray looks at Amber for the longest moment)
Amber: Well.
Bray: Okay. I'll take it.
Amber: Good. Now bring me Bray jnr... I want to see my son.
(Bray nods as he heads out of the room)
Amber: I hope you don't screw this up Bray... for all our sakes.
[Camera pans to a close up of Amber's face and then cuts to the next scene.]
Scene 8
[The camera pans around a darken room to show Patsy sat on her bed with her knees up against her chest, KC is sat at her side with one of his arms wrapped protectively around her shoulders]
Patsy: I don’t understand why he just upped and left…how selfish can one person be
KC: Come on Patsy it’s not Ryan’s fault, he didn’t know about Cloe!
Patsy: It doesn’t matter he should be here…they should both be here?
KC: Who?
Patsy: Ryan and Salene!
(Patsy busts into tears again burring her face into KC’s chest, while he tries to sooth her)
KC: The rest of the tribe will be there Patsy…
Patsy: (Cuts in) It’s not the point, they were my family, Salene, Ryan, Cloe and Me, now it’s just me…
KC: (whispers) You have me!
(Patsy lifts her head up and gives her boyfriend a small smile before they share a kiss)
Patsy: How did it come to this? How did everything become so messed up?
KC: (Shakes his head) I don’t know…I just don’t know!
[Camera pans out as the couple continue to hug before the camera fades out to the next scene]
Scene 9
[Camera zooms in to show that Axel is standing outside Brooke’s bar he studies the sign for a moment before taking in a deep breathe and stepping inside. As he lets his eyes adjust to the darken room he scans the bar for Darryl]
(Camera cuts to one of the booths to show Alice, Darryl and Jared sat around the round table eating their lunch. Darryl and Jared are sat pretty close to each other and laughing. Axel sees this and is about to turn and walk out when Alice spots him)
Alice: Axel!
(Darryl jumps and pushes himself away from Jared so he is able to see Axel)
Axel: As it seems your busy…I’ll keep it short
Darryl: (Snaps) What do you want?
Axel: I’ve been sent to tell you that last night Tai-San gave birth to a baby boy
Alice: (Smiles) Oh that’s brilliant, send them my love won’t you
Darryl: Is that all…as our meals are getting cold?
Axel: NO! Cloe also passed away last night…not that you care!
(before either Alice or Darryl have time to react Axel has already turned on his heals and has stormed out of the bar ensuring to slam the door shut behind him)
Alice: (Whispers) Oh Cloe!
[Both Darryl and Alice push their meals away as they mourn for their lost friend. Camera pans out as Jared places a hand on Darryl’s knee and gives it a light squeeze. Camera fades to black]
Scene 10
[Camera fades in from black as Patsy steps out from her bedroom, her eyes are puffy and her hair is tied back in a loose ponytail, she wraps her arms around herself as she walks along the corridor, keeping her head down not wanting to bump into anyone. She reaches her destination and gently knocks on the wall before entering Cass’s room]
(Cass is sat on her bed feeding Jake his bottle; she looks up and is shocked by Patsy’s state)
Patsy: I know you are properly to busy but I thought I would come and let you know that Cloe died last night…
(Unsure what to say, Cass seems to let her walls down as she gets up and crosses the room to wrap her arm around Patsy)
Cass: Oh Patsy I’m so sorry…I’m so sorry I should have been there for you!
Patsy: It’s ok I understand
Cass: NO , it’s not I’ve been so wrapped up in my own problems that I haven’t even bothered to take care what else has been going on!
[As the two friends continue to hug the camera pans out and cuts to the next scene]
Scene 11
[The camera zooms to Danni's face, her eyes are narrowed as she stands outside Amber's room and watches Bray head back into the room with Bray jnr on his shoulders.]
Danni (hisses): Traitor. Bloody traitor!
(Danni stomps away from the room and down the corridor to her own room, the camera following her and panning around to show Rain napping in her bed as she enters the room.)
Danni: You screwed up my life Bray... just watch me screw up yours!
(Danni picks up a notepad and starts to scribble as she drops down to the bed)
Danni (smirks): You really will know the full impact of me and the wrath that I can cause. That I guarantee.
[The camera pans from a sleeping Rain to Danni's evil grin and fades to black.]
Scene 12
[The camera pans into Ellie and Jack's room, we see Ellie with her back to the camera as she takes her top off, and picks up another to change into. We see that Ellie's ribs are showing through her back and that her waistline is very thin. Ellie then pulls on the top she has picked up and turns around to face the camera.]
Ellie (shocked): Jack!
(The camera pans out to show Jack standing in the doorway)
Jack: Why Ellie, why?
Ellie (shrugs): Why what?
Jack: Why are you doing this to yourself. Starving yourself.
Ellie (shakes her head): I'm not. I'm just dieting...
(Jack walks up to Ellie and grabs hold of her hands)
Jack: You're starving yourself Ellie.
Ellie (weakly): No... no I'm not.
Jack: Yes... you are. You're sick Ellie. And you've got to eat.
Ellie: But... but I don't want to.
Jack: Ellie. You're going to get better and eat, if you don't I will make you eat!
Ellie (cries): No...
Jack: Yes...
[Ellie tries to break free from Jack's grasp, sobbing as she does. Instead he wraps his arms around her and holds her tightly, until her sobs subside and the camera fades to black.]
Scene 13
[Camera cuts to the chosen camp, it pans around the tents before entering one of them. Tally is sat in front of her mirror with one hand resting on her bump her other is running a brush through her long hair.]
[We see flash backs of her time with the Mallrats from when her and Andy first meet Pride to them being taken prisoners by the chosen, from working with KC to scam the chosen members to the downfall of the chosen, to Ned’s death and to the Techno’s invading. We see a final shot of Tally being taken onto one of the planes closely followed by Alice and Andy. Screen cuts to black]
Scene 14
[Scene fades in from black and pans around an old playground just outside of Brooke’s bar sitting on the swings we find Jared and Darryl swinging back and forth in silence]
Jared: Thinking about that Cloe girl or your ex?
(Darryl stops himself and turns to look at Jared)
Darryl: Honestly both! Axel was the first guy I’ve ever been with so he means a lot to me but he broke my heart and I could never forgive him again and Cloe we fell out awhile ago and never got round to making it up!
Jared: At the end of the day shit happens, its how we deal with it that’s important at one point you and Cloe were friends so you should go to her funeral and pay your respects as for Axel he was your first love then it’s going to take time for you to get over him…
Darryl: and where does it leave us?
Jared: (Smiles) No where…it doesn’t leave us anywhere we carry on as we are enjoying our time together!
(Darryl smiles back as he jumps off the swing)
Darryl: Sounds good to me…Alice will kill us if we’re not back soon tho! Jared: She doesn’t scare me!
(Darryl raises an eyebrow)
Jared: Ok maybe a wee bit!
[The two boys break into laughter as they make their way back to Brooke’s bar camera cuts to the next scene]
Scene 15
[The camera cuts in from the previous scene to show Bray walking down the corridor, a small smile on his face as he walks into the cafe. KC walks in behind him and pats him on the back.]
KC: Bray.
(Bray turns around to face KC)
Bray: Yeah?
KC: Danni, left this for you... she asked me to give it to you.
(KC holds a piece of paper which Bray takes from his hands)
Bray: What is it?
KC (shrugs): Search me... I don't have a clue.
Bray: Oh... well thanks.
KC: No problem.
(Bray watches as KC leaves the cafe and Bray puts his dirty coffee cup down on as he leans against the counter and opens the note.)
Danni (OV): Bray, this isn't some cheesy note goodbye, I'm not that needy. I overhead yours and Amber's conversation, and I'm sorry that you've become such a spineless coward. We had a good time Bray, a real good time. Now and all those years ago. And with the recent recollection of my memory, I've learnt something. I know who is Rain's father... it's you dear Bray. All those years ago, we made her. Obviously not too soon before you and the bitch had Bray jnr. But what I wanted to say before I leave is that she's yours. And she's your responsibility. I've left her asleep in my room for you to deal with. I had her for the last couple of years. Now it's your turn. Enjoy. You deserve whatever happens to you. Danni.
(Bray looks at the note, reading it again before he blinks several times, and he breaths)
Bray: Rain... mine?
[Bray's eyes roll to the back of his head as he slides down the counter and falls into a faint on the cafe floor.]
Scene 16
[The camera cuts in from the previous scene to show Enola sitting in the meeting room, a cold cup of coffee in between her hands as she stares into space, May slips in the doorway and takes a seat opposite Enola.]
May: Penny for them?
Enola: Huh?
May: I said... a penny for your thoughts.
Enola: Oh yeah. Thanks.
May: Something eating you?
Enola (sighs): Yeah.
May: Wanna tell me about it?
Enola (shrugs): Calli... I mean Danni, has gone.
May: Gone?
Enola: Yeah. She left me a message, said that she had blown things here and that she was leaving for a while. She didn't even say goodbye in person.
(May puts a hand on Enola's hands)
May: I'm sorry.
Enola: It's... it's fine (Enola pulls her hand away) She was going to leave at some point.
(Enola frowns at May)
May: What?
Enola: What's going on with us?
May: Huh?
Enola: You heard me?
May: Well that was a 180 turn around.
Enola: So?
May: Aren't we having fun?
Enola: Yeah... but?
May: You want something else?
Enola: Yes.... I mean no... oh I don't know.
May: Let's just see shall we. Let's just see what happens. I mean, I'm not promising anything, but we'll see.
Enola (nods): Okay.
[Enola and May stare at each other as the camera cuts to the next scene.]
Scene 17
[The camera cuts from the previous scene to show Patsy staring at her self in a mirror, she pulls at her skin on her face and screws up her eyes. KC appears in the door way and studies his girlfriend]
KC: What are you doing Patsy?
(Patsy turns away from the mirror with tears in her eyes)
Patsy: Oh KC!
(She throws herself into KC’s arms and sobs on his shoulder while he wraps his arms around her)
KC: Come on babe, Cloe would never want to see you like this
Patsy: (through sobs) I think I’m ill…I think I’ve got what Cloe had!
KC: Why do you say that?
Patsy: I was sick earlier! OH god KC I don’t want to die…please don’t let me die
[KC hugs Patsy close to him fighting the tears which threaten to fall from his own eyes. Camera pans out before cutting to black]
Scene 18
[Camera cuts to Lottie and Sammy’s room to show the pair are lying on the bed unable to keep their hands off each other. As Lottie pulls away from another kiss she lets out a long sigh. Sammy props himself up on his elbows and looks down at Lottie]
Sammy: What’s the matter?
Lottie: What are we doing?
Sammy: Umm having fun
Lottie: (Nods) yea while everyone else is hurting how selfish are we? There is so much going on and yet I can’t help but feel happy that we have each other and Xavier!
Sammy: You worry to much…its about time that we are happy and no one is going to blame you for being happy after the year that you have had!
(Sammy leans down and places a soft kiss on her lips)
Sammy: (Whispers) If you want we can pretend to be sad if it makes you feel better
Lottie: (Smirks) Maybe for a bit!
[The two start laughing as Sammy starts to slip one of his hands up her top, and she pulls him down for another long kiss. Camera cuts to the next scene]
Scene 19
[The camera cuts in from the previous scene to show Lex walking down the corridor towards his and Tai-san's room, he pushes open the door, being quiet as he does. He smiles when he sees the cradle at the end of the bed, Theo fast asleep in it. Lex walks over and kisses his son gently on the head.]
Lex: Sleep well little man.
(Tai-san moves over to the bed and sees Tai-san asleep, she is cuddling a small blue bear as she sleeps and Lex watches her for a few minutes before he bends down and kisses her forehead, pushing some of the hair to the side of her face.)
Lex: Thank you. For giving me the best gift ever.
[Lex smiles and backs out of the room slowly, closing the door as he does, the camera panning to his smiling face as the camera cuts to black.]
Scene 20
[The camera fades in to show a tired looking Danni walking towards the cliffs on the outskirts of the city. She has a bang slung over her shoulder, as she glances back over to the city.]
Danni: So long... losers. I'll be back... and this time, I'll...
(Danni stops mid sentence as she looks around and sees that she is surrounded by people wearing robes.)
Danni: What's the meaning of this?
Caleb: You... are a prisoner of the Chosen!
Danni: Caleb?
Caleb: Yeah... nice to see you again Danni. Welcome to hell!
(Danni shakes her head)
Danni: Fuck!
[Caleb smirks as the Chosen round up Danni and start heading back towards their camp. The camera pans to Caleb and his smirk before fading to black.]
Scene 21
[Camera fades in from black to show the lobby of the airport, KC and Apollo are on guard and are sitting at a small table playing poker when the doors are suddenly pushed open causing both boys to jump up and grab their weapons only to find Dreamer standing in the doorway]
Apollo: Dreamer what the hell! Dreamer: (panic) We need to call a meeting now…get Bray and Amber! KC: Hold up we aren’t calling any meeting till you tell us what this is about Dreamer: (Rolls her eyes) Your joking KC: (Smirks) Nope!
(Dreamer slams the doors shut and drops into the nearest chair)
Dreamer: Fine have it your way…I mean Ebony has only gone missing and oh yea the Chosen are back, but you know what ever
KC: Ebony missing? That cant be good!
Dreamer: Didn’t I just say that?
KC: Fine we will call a meeting for you!
[Apollo gives Dreamer a smile and a wink while KC goes off to call a meeting. Dreamer rolls her eyes again as she sinks further into the chair. Camera cuts to the next scene]
Scene 22
[As another door is thrown open we see Axel step into Gel’s private yet making both Gel and Phoenix jump from their seats]
Gel: Axel?
Axel: you knew didn’t you?
Gel: What are you on about?
Axel: You knew about Darryl and this thing?
(Gel shrugs her shoulders before patting the space next to her)
Gel: what are you on about?
(Takes the seat next to Gel)
Axel: I went to the pub as you suggested and what I find him getting all friendly with some new guy who by the way has nothing on me…so what the hell is he playing at…who am I kidding, his new guy is properly ten times better then me!
(Phoenix pushes himself up as he lets out a sigh)
Phoenix: I’ll go and put the kettle on!
Gel: (Mouths) Thank you!
[As Phoenix heads off to the small kitchen, Axel carries on talking about what happened in Brooke’s bar. Camera cuts to the next scene]
Scene 23
[The camera fades in from the previous scene, Bray is standing in Amber's room as he takes a seat.]
Bray: Look, I don't know how to say this. But I came across a note... from Danni.
(Amber's eyes narrow)
Amber: Danni... you went to see her?
Bray (shakes her head): It's not like that. There was a note in my room. It said she had gone. Left the airport.
Amber: Good riddance.
Bray: Wait... there's more.
Amber: What?
Bray: She said that... that Rain is my daughter.
(Amber blinks several times)
Amber: Excuse me!?
Bray: Rain... is my daughter.
Amber: No!
Bray: I'm sorry... I didn't know!
(Amber shakes her head as tears well at the corner of her eyes.)
Bray: Amber... I'm so sorry, I never knew that Danni was pregnant, I never knew...
Amber (nods): But... what happens now?
(Amber's tears roll down her cheeks)
Bray: I can't ignore her, can I? She's my child.
Amber: You do what you have to do... but, go away, please!
Bray: Amber?
Amber: Please Bray.
Bray: Okay... I'll go, but I'll be back.
Amber: Please Bray...
(Bray walks out of the room, his head held low as the camera pans back to Amber and her tears become sobs, her body shaking as she cries for Bray, for Bray jnr, for the lost baby and for herself.)
[As the camera pans down her body, it stops at her toes which start to wiggle, the camera fading to black on her toes, the sound of her tears still echoing around the room.]
Scene 24
[Slade and Trudy are walking along one of the runways outside the airport, Brady and Bray jnr play in the foreground, taking it in turns to spray each other with water guns as Trudy and Slade walk behind, their hands slipping into each others.]
Trudy: This is nice isn't it?
Slade: What?
Trudy: Spending time together?
(Slade blanks out, staring ahead at Brady)
Trudy: Earth to Slade (waves her hand in front of Slade's eyes) Anyone there?
Slade (shakes his head): Sorry... I zoned out a little there.
Trudy (frowns): You've being doing that all day. IS something wrong?
Slade (nods): Yeah there is. Well there's something that I have to tell you and I really don't know how to.
Trudy: Just be honest Slade... that's all I ask.
Slade: It's about Caleb...
Trudy (frowns): Caleb?
Slade: Yeah... a couple of days ago I chased him out of the airport.
Trudy: Why?
Slade: I found him... in Brady's room.
(Trudy stops in her stride, dropping Slade's hand as she turns to face him)
Trudy: What? What... was he doing?
Slade: Trudy... he was trying to kill Brady, he said she was the unholy child.
Trudy (goes pale): Oh god!
Slade: Trudy?
Trudy: It's happening again!
[Trudy grabs hold of Slade as she loses her footing and faints into his arms. The camera cutting to the next scene.]
Scene 25
[Camera fades in from the last scene to show Lex walking down the corridor towards his room with a cup of tea as he walks he hums a soft tune to himself and can’t help but smile. As he enters the room he sees that both Tai-San and baby Theo are fast asleep.]
(He places the cup onto the table and walks round to Tai-San’s side of the bed where he places a small kiss on her forehead, he pulls away confused of the coldness of her skin. Lamb › Gorecki starts up]
If I should die this very moment
