Scene 1
[Camera fades in from opening credits to show a deserted street, a figure steps round the corner gripping to the wall for dear life as the camera zooms in we see that it is Ebony. Her eyes are blood shot and all her make up is smudged.]
(Ebony collapses onto the floor and starts to sob again curling herself into a ball)
Female Off screen: Ebony?
(Camera pans around to show Ellie standing at the other end of the street, she is holding a basket full of food. Seeing the state of Ebony, Ellie drops the basket and rushes to the other girls aid)
Ellie: (Wrapping her arms around her) What happened? Ebony?
Ebony: (through sobs) They have my baby…they took my baby!
Ellie: Oh Ebony! Come on let’s get you home!
[Ellie uses all of her strength to help Ebony up and wraps her arms around her as she half carries her back to the airport. Camera cuts to the following scene]
Scene 2
[The camera cuts in from the previous scene to show KC in his and Patsy's room, he picks up a hunting knife from the cupboard and sticks it in the waistband of his trousers and pulls on his coat.]
(KC steps out of the doorway and runs into Jack and Slade, they stand in front of him, trying to block his way.)
KC (in a low voice): Get out of my way!
Jack (shakes his head): No way KC... you're not going off. Not in that mood!
(KC's face creases into a frown and he gets ready to charge at Jack, before Slade steps in and grabs him by the shoulders)
KC (struggles against Slade's grip): You left her! You left her Jack! How could you?
Jack: No I didn't... I didn't mate. I couldn't... she's like a sister to me!
KC: Then let me go and get her!
Slade: No way! You're not in any state!
KC: F*ck off Slade! This doesn't concern you!
Slade: Yes it bloody well does! Now stop struggling and I'll let you go!
KC: Okay.
Slade: You mean it?
KC (nods): Yeah.
(Slade nods and loosens his grip on KC's shoulders, as he does, KC elbows him the chest and he drops to the ground, KC then charges at Jack, but Jack side steps before KC reaches him and KC spins around, ready to charge again. As he does, the camera pans around to show the scene.)
OV: Oi, KC!
(KC spins around as the camera pans around to show behind him and we see Lex's fist raised up and heading for KC's face, as he hits him squarely on the jaw. KC falls backwards into an unconscious heap).
Jack: Thanks Lex!
Lex: You're welcome!
[The camera pans around to show KC and fades to black.]
Scene 3
[The camera cuts in to show the Mallrats gathered in the meeting room, Amber is sitting in a wheelchair, and the rest of the Mallrats are spread around the room. Dreamer is also present. But KC, Patsy, Ellie, Ryan and Alice are missing.]
Bray: Go ahead Jack. Tell us what you saw?
(Jack stands up and looks around at the Mallrats. He takes a deep breathe before he starts)
Jack: We found their camp. It's a couple of miles up the coast, on the cliffs. They are well prepared. The numbers they had before... they're nothing. They're back, bigger than ever before!
(KC walks into the meeting)
KC: And they've got my woman... we've got to get them back.
(The rest of the Mallrats look up at KC, their faces solemn. Amber uses her wheelchair to move over to KC as she looks him in the eyes).
Amber: We will get her back... I promise you that KC. But you have to give us a chance to do things without any more casualties. We've had enough deaths recently.... we don't need anymore.
Slade: Yeah. Jack... is there anything else?
Jack (nods): Pregnant girls... lots of them. I think the birth of Zoot's children has a whole new meaning. I think they're breeding babies...
(The jaws of the Mallrats fall open)
KC (gulps): Breeding?
[The camera pans to KC's face and then fades to black.]
Scene 4
Camera fades back in to show the main lobby of the airport as members of the tribe leave the meeting. The camera pans around to show Ellie, now half dragging Ebony pushing her way through the main door]
Ellie: (Screams) someone help!
(As Ellie tries to move Ebony to a chair the older girl collapses in her arms leaving Ellie to lie her on the cold floor. Jack, Trudy and Dreamer rush to her side)
Dreamer: Oh god! What’s happened to her!
Ellie: I found her in the streets….she said….she told me the chosen have her baby!
[Camera cuts between the Mallrats shocked faces before cutting to black]
Scene 5
[Camera fades in from black to show KC storming into his room; he slams his bedroom door shut causing pictures on the wall to shake. He lets his body drop to the floor and he rests his head against the door with his eyes closest]
Jack OV: I think the birth of Zoot's children has a whole new meaning. I think they're breeding babies... breeding babies… breeding babies….
(KC lets out a scream as he bangs his fists against the door, full of anger he jumps up and starts trashing his room, from pulling down photos, pulling clothes out of his and Pasty’s wardrobe, kicking in draws and slamming his fists into the walls leaving dents in the thin walls.)
KC: FUCK SAKE!!!
(As he comes down from his anger he lets his body drop onto the double bed where he curls himself up into a ball and starts to cry causing his whole body to shake)
KC: Patsy!!!!
[Camera slowly pans out before cutting to the next scene]
Scene 6
[Camera fades in from the previous scene to show Ebony tucked up in a make shift bed in one of the back rooms, Dreamer is sat by her side while holding her friends hand. Ebony is in a deep sleep]
Dreamer: (whispers) Come on Ebony...you gotta pull through, you need to come around…your child needs you!
(Dreamer brings Ebony’s hands up to her lips and gently kisses them)
Dreamer: I need you, since Wolf you’ve been my only true friend and I don’t know what I’m going to do if you don't pull through….but I tell you this now….no I promise you I will get your child back!
[Camera zooms in on Dreamers determined face before fading to the next scene]
Scene 7
[Ellie is sitting on the bed, as she slips under the covers and pulls them up to her chin, reaching under the mattress for her journal as she picks it up and flips through the pages that are filled with her hand writing to the last page as she picks it up and reads it.]
Ellie: Dear Diary, Today was difficult, it didn't start off like that, when I looked in the mirror this morning I didn't feel the need to throw up. I actually felt like I wasn't fat and ugly for the first time in ages.
But then it got a whole lot worse, when it came to lunch I couldn't face eating... I couldn't eat anything. I really wanted to. I really want to eat, because I know if I don't that I will get ill.
So I went into the toilets, tried to eat without throwing anything up... but it didn't happen, and then the worse thing happened. The worse thing ever. I killed my baby. I didn't even know I had one. I was pregnant... and I couldn't look after mine and jack's baby. And it died... right there on the bathroom floor as I miscarried. I'm a lousy human, and wife and worst of all I'm a murderer. I want to die... I really wish the ground would swallow me up and put me out of my misery.
[Ellie's journal drops to the floor, as the tears roll down her face and she brings her knees up her chin and the covers over her head as the camera fades to black.]
Scene 8
[Camera fades in from black and we see Dreamer leaving Ebony’s room she lets out a sign and rests her head against the wall for a second before pushing herself back up and heading to the café]
(Camera cuts to the café to show Dreamer taking a seat at one of the empty tables. From the corner of her eyes she can see Apollo coming towards her but she doesn’t have enough energy to walk away)
Apollo: How’s she doing?
Dreamer: Better…I think!
(Apollo takes a seat opposite Dreamer and takes one of her hands into his)
Apollo: If you need anything…and I mean anything at all, I’m here for you, even if its just a shoulder to lean on if you get my drift!
(Apollo gives her one of his trade mark winks and smiles as she turns away with disgust)
Dreamer: I think I’ll pass on that offer thanks! But a cuppa wouldn’t go a miss
Apollo: Na your all right!
[Apollo gets back up and walks away clearly not happy with Dreamers reply. Camera zooms in on Dreamer before fading to black]
Scene 9
[The camera cuts in to show Ellie pulling her coat tighter around her figure as she steps through the doorway of the bar, looking around she spots Alice. Alice stands at the other end of the bar, as she stares at her sister, the two of them looking eye to eye for the longest moment before Ellie strides closer to Alice and the older sister opens her arms to the youngest one.]
Ellie: Oh Alice... I missed you!
Alice: I missed you too!
(The two sisters hug and smile as they break apart and Alice motions for them to sit in an empty booth)
Ellie: You look well.
Alice (frowns): You're too thin! Not been eating?
(Ellie looks away from Alice's gaze)
Ellie: I came to tell you news of what's been happening.
Alice: Yeah? What's new with the Mallrats?
Ellie: The Chosen.
(Alice coughs up her drink)
Alice (shocked): The Chosen. That bunch of losers?
Ellie (nods): They're back Alice... bigger than ever before!
Alice: Oh shit!
Ellie: What?
Alice: I've heard rumours.
Ellie: About what?
Alice: About people disappearing. It's got the Chosen written all over it!
Ellie: Oh!
Alice: Yeah...
Ellie: It's bad Alice. Really bad!
[The camera pans from Ellie's gaze to Alice's shocked and confused face and fades to black as the camera cuts to the next scene.]
Scene 10
[The camera fades in from black to show Trudy and Lex walking outside the airport along one of the runways. In the distance Slade is pushing a pram with Theo in, and walking with Brady holding his hand. The camera pans back to Lex and Trudy as the pair stop and sit down on a tree stump.]
Lex: It's so hard.
Trudy: I know.
Lex: I miss her so much Trudy. I just can't believe she's gone.
(Trudy nods and takes hold of one of Lex's hands)
Trudy: There's still a part of her here Lex.
(Lex looks up and over to where Slade and the children are)
Lex (nods and whispers): Theo!
Trudy: Yes. I know how hard it is to be alone with a new baby. But you have to remember that he's innocent. He wasn't the one to blame for Tai-san dying. She lost her life. But gave you the most wonderful gift she could ever give you Lex. She gave you a part of herself. A wonderful new life!
Lex (nods): I know...
(Lex looks up at Trudy as he has tears in the corners of his eyes)
Trudy: I'm here for you Lex... whatever you need. We're all here to help. Okay?
(Lex nods)
Lex: Thanks.
[Slade and the children head over to Lex and Trudy as the camera pans out and cuts to the next scene.]
Scene 11
The camera fades in from the previous scene to show Amber sitting in her wheelchair in the cafe as she wheels over to where Bray is sitting.]
Amber: I've had a chance to think.
(Bray looks up)
Bray: And?
Amber: One more chance Bray. I meant it.
Bray: And what about Rain?
Amber: Like I said, she's not of any concern to me.
Bray: Well she is to me.
Amber: You can do what you like with her.
Bray: And what about Bray jnr?
Amber (shrugs): What about him?
Bray: Are you going to let me see him with Rain still around?
(Amber sighs)
Amber: Let me spell it out. You and Rain can do as you like. I will not be responsible for that brat. But I will not stand in the way of Bray jnr getting to know her. But when the three of us are together. We will not have her around. Got it?
Bray: So you're saying we can be a family, but I have to leave my daughter out whenever you're around?
Amber (nods): Got it in one!
Bray: Well I don't think I like the sound of that deal!
Amber: Like I said... take it or leave it.
(Bray shakes his head as he watches Amber away and he bangs his head against the table)
Bray: F*ck!
[Camera fades to the next scene.]
Scene 12
[Camera fades in from black and pans around an old church, camera cuts inside and we find Caleb and Tanzie sitting on the steps up to the alter on their own talking in small voices]
Caleb: More and more are joining the cause each day…we have to act soon before their numbers are greater then our own
Tanzie: (nods) I understand but we don’t want to mess this up, we only have one chance Caleb we have to be sure we are ready!
(Caleb takes hold of his lovers hand and gives it a small squeeze)
Caleb: (Nods) Your right, we have to plan our attack it has to be perfect nothing can go wrong…we will know when the time is right Zoot will give us a sign, the guardians mind is poisoned with revenge that he cant see what is right in front of him he will never know what Zoot’s real plans are he is no longer in power
(Tanzie takes hold of both of Caleb’s hands and places them on her bump)
Tanzie: Can you feel it? The strength the power are baby already has…he is sure to take us out of the dark ages and into our golden age…the world will fall at his feet…
Caleb: (nods) He is a pure descendant from Zoot but no one will believe it until they see the downfall of the imposter!
Tanzie: Then we prepare…we gather more followers, we twist his mind even more so when it comes down to it he will simply break
Caleb: (Smiles) Tanzie you’re his main wife it is down to you to bruise and batter his mind…make him feel isolated from the rest of the tribe make him feel unloved…destroy every part of him!
(Tanzie nods and in the heat of the moment she pulls Caleb closer to herself and the lovers share a lustful kiss)
[Camera slowly pans away from the scene before cutting to the following scene]
Scene 13
[Camera pans in to show Cass walking into the cafe, Jake is balanced on her hip as she strolls in, humming a tune to him when she sees KC sitting on his own. Smiling she pulls out a chair and sits down opposite him.]
Cass: Penny for them?
(KC looks up at Cass and blinks a couple of times.)
KC: Huh?
Cass: I said penny for your thoughts.
KC: Oh... ta.
Cass: What's bugging you? Patsy kicked you out or something. You two really should learn not to fight you know... (KC glares at Cass like she has two heads) ...what?
KC: Are you fricking insane?
Cass (frowns): Huh?
KC: You do know that Patsy's a prisoner of the Chosen... don't you?
(Cass shakes her head)
Cass: What? When did this happen?
KC: Two days ago... where have you been? Mars?
Cass: I'm... sorry!
KC: Yeah well the world doesn't revolve around you Cass. Now get lost!
(KC storms out of the cafe leaving behind a bewildered Cass as she starts to cry and May walks in)
May: Cass... whatever is the matter?
Cass (sobbing): I just heard that Patsy's missing. Why didn't anyone tell me?
May (puts an arm around Cass): Things have been happening... but we didn't want to bother you.
Cass: I wish you would though. I'm a part of this tribe. I want to know when things happen.
May: Okay.
[The camera pans out and fades.]
Scene 14
[Camera fades in from black to show May walking along the corridor she finds herself out side Enola’s room, she looks inside and watches Enola who is lying on her bed and reading a book. May can’t help but smile as she studies the other girl.]
(Taking a deep breathe, May knocks on the wall and walks in causing Enola to look up from her book)
Enola: (Smiles) May!
(May smiles back and pulls up a chair)
May: I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about us!
Enola: (Smile fades) This doesn’t sound good!
May: (shakes her head) No please just listen to me!
(Enola nods as she closes her book and places it next to her giving May her full attention)
May: (Continued) As I was saying I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about us and I’ve come to the conclusion that I really like you but after what happened with Salene I’m treading more careful this time I don’t want to ruin something that can be good by rushing things…does that make sense?
(Enola nods)
May: so I want us to give it a go…I want to be with you but I want to take things slow and on my terms is that ok with you?
(Enola thinks this over as she stares into May’s eyes)
Enola: (Smiles) I think I can live with that!
May: (Smiles back) Thank you
[Enola leans over the bed and gently brushes her lips against May’s before pulling away as the screen fades to black]
Scene 15
[Lex is in his room, standing at the baby changing table as he picks up a wiggling Theo from his pram and places him on the changing mat.]
Lex: Right little man... lets figure out how we do this.
(Lex undoes Theo's nappy and recoils)
Lex: Holy crap... that's a stinker!
(Picking up the nappy, Lex throws it in the bin and picks up a clean nappy)
Lex: This always looked easier when I saw the others do it.
(Lex struggles with placing the nappy under Theo, before he finally gets it and does it up quickly)
Lex: Yay, we did it son... we did it!
[Lex picks up Theo and raises him above his head as the baby proceeds to throw up, the puke landing on Lex's face, as the camera pans to a photo of Tai-san on the bedside table and fades to black.]
Scene 16
[Dreamer knocks on the door of the lounge as she walks in and grabs a chair to sit down next to Bray. He looks up from where he has been doing a puzzle with Rain and raises an eyebrow.]
Bray: Did you want something?
Dreamer (nods): Yeah... um, with you being leader and all, I wanted to tell you that I'm moving in.
Bray: Inviting yourself to join Dreamer... that's just your style.
Dreamer (shrugs): Yeah, well...
Bray: Why are you here?
Dreamer: Because of Ebony... and because my tribe is leaving.
Bray: Ah... out of a job I see.
Dreamer (nods): Something like that. But I want to see this Chosen thing through, although it seems that the rest of my tribe had enough with the Krul, they don't want another fight.
(Bray nods as he picks up Rain and sits her on his knee)
Bray: I can understand that. I feel that way sometimes... but the Mallrats, we've always stayed around to fight. It's our way. You're more than welcome to stay.
Dreamer: Thanks.
Bray: I dare say that Ebony could use a friend right now. I wouldn't want to wish whatever had happened to her on anyone.
Dreamer: Tell me about it!
[Dreamer walks out of the room as Bray and Rain hug and the camera cuts to the next scene.]
Scene 17
[Camera cuts to show Tally walking through the chosen camp as she passes members of the tribe they bow down to her. As she reaches the outskirts of the camp someone grabs her from behind and pushes her against a tree]
Viola: And where do you think your going?
Tally: I’m going for a walk and can you get your hands of me?
Viola: (Laughs) Yea right a walk? Do you think I’m stupid Tally, the guardian might trust you but once a Mallrat always a Mallrat
Tally: (Rolls her eyes) God how stupid are you, the Techno’s erased my memory I can’t remember being a Mallrat and if my sources are right weren’t you a Techno before you joined the Chosen we all have a history Viola…
(With all her strength, Tally pushes the other girl of her and heads back to the camp)
Tally: Now if you don’t mind I think I will go pay the guardian a visit!
(Viola watches as the other girl walks away she crosses her arms over chest and screws her eyes up)
Viola: the guardian will regret making you a wife…you will bring the downfall of the Chosen, you are poison Tally!
(Tally turns back to face her)
Tally: We will see won’t we!
[Camera fades to black as Tally continues on her way now ignoring Viola]
Scene 18
[Apollo is sitting at the breakfast bar in the airport watching Dreamer standing outside Ebony’s room talking to Trudy]
Apollo: (to himself) She needs a man…she needs someone to look after her…why cant that man be me?
(Dreamer looks over in his direction and rolls her eyes as she turns back to Trudy)
Apollo: If only she knew how much she meant to me, how much I want to feel her in my arms! I need to show her how much I care!
(Apollo looks down at his drink and smiles as he thinks over some ideas, when he looks up again Dreamer has gone. Letting out a sign Apollo turns back to his drink]
[Camera cuts to the next scene]
Scene 19
[The camera cuts in from the previous scene with Bray and Rain as the father and daughter play in the lounge, Rain has set up a picnic with her tea set and dolls and is pouring imaginary tea into the cups.]
Rain: Tea daddy?
(Bray nods and takes the cup, pretending to drink)
Bray: Mmm, yummy!
(Rain laughs as she continues to play)
Bray: How could I ever think about not having you in my life. You and Bray jnr are everything to me.
(Rain hands Bray a teddy bear)
Bray: If seeing you means the end for me and Amber... so be it. My children are my priority!
(Bray stands up and picks up Rain, moving her to sit on his shoulders)
Bray: Right missy, time for a bath!
Rain: With ducks?
Bray: Yes... with ducks!
[Rain laughs and hits Bray on the head with her dolls as the pair of them head out of the lobby and up the corridor, the camera fading to black.]
Scene 20
[Camera fades in from black to show Alice, Jared and Darryl locking up the bar for the night. Alice places the last stall onto the bar and lets out a yawn, while Jared cleans the tables and Darryl takes a final stock count]
Alice: right boys I’m off to bed…night night!
Jared: night
Darryl: Night Alice!
(As Alice goes up to her room the boys close the distance between themselves)
Darryl: Jared…
(Jared grabs Darryl around the neck and pulls him closer pressing his lips against those of Darryl. What is love by Take that plays through this scene)

(Darryl pulls away from the kiss and smiles at Jared as he takes Jared’s hand and leads him upstairs)

(Jared shuts the bedroom door behind them as they enter the room. Jared goes in and kisses Darryl again this time much softer)

(As the boys break apart, Jared pulls at Darryl’s top and helps him remove it, before taking of his own shirt. Darryl allows Jared to lower him onto the double bed)

(Jared places small kisses over Darryl’s bare chest while he undoes the other boy’s belt)

(Jared moves back up on the bed and whispers something into Darryl’s ear making the younger guy smile before they share another kiss)

(Jared pushes himself up of the bed and walks over to the candles he blows them out sending the room into complete darkness before getting back into bed)

Scene 21
[The camera fades in from black to show Amber sitting in her room, she is in her wheelchair and wheels over to the bed to move herself up and out of her chair. She lifts one of her legs onto the bed and then moves for the other one, as she does, she manages to wiggle her toes.]
Amber: Woah.
(Amber lifts her other leg up onto the bed and uses her arms to push herself up.)
Amber: Maybe I just imagined it?
(Amber wiggles her toes again as tears form at the corner of her eyes)
Amber: My legs... my feet... they move... maybe... maybe I'll walk again? I hope I will!
[Amber looks excited as she wiggles her toes and the camera pans to her feet before fading to black.]
Scene 22
[Slade and Trudy are laying in bed, Trudy's head is resting against Slade's chest as she sighs deeply. Slade's hand runs down and strokes the side of her face.]
Slade: What's the matter?
Trudy: I'm worried Slade.
Slade: About the Chosen?
(Trudy nods and props herself up on her elbow as she looks up to face Slade)
Trudy: You don't know them like I do Slade. Last time they were here, things were horrible. I became the person at the pit of my worse nightmares, the things I did... I can never get over them, I have to live with what I did each day and I don't want it to happen again.
Slade (nods): But that's in the past.
Trudy: Doesn't mean it won't happen again.
Slade: But it's different this time.
Trudy (frowns): How?
Slade: This time... I'm here! And I'm not going anywhere!
Trudy (smiles weakly): I love you Slade.
Slade: Yeah... and I love you too. Now don't worry! Whatever happens, we'll face it together!
[Trudy smiles and rests her head against Slade's chest as she closes her eyes and Slade watches her for the longest moment, the camera then fades to black.]
Scene 23
[Camera fades in from black and pans around the chosen camp to show large fire torches lighting up the camp. All of the tribe cam be seen kneeling in front of the guardian and his three wives while praying at the almighty Zoot. Camera zooms in on Caleb who looks up and locks eye contact with Tanzie who smiles at him briefly before the camera cuts to the next scene]
Scene 24
[The camera cuts in from the previous scene to show Lex in his room, Theo is in his arms as he rocks him gently, singing a simple lullaby, the camera pans to Theo's face as the newborns eyes gently close and Lex smiles proudly.]
Lex (whispers): Goodnight son... I love you.
(Lex moves to his and Tai-san's bed, placing his son opposite him as he watches Theo sleep)
(Lex reaches out and strokes his son's face, as he closes his own eyes)
(The camera pans to the doorway as May and Enola stand in the doorway, the pair of them smile at each other as they watch Lex, the camera then panning back around to show Lex and Theo.)
[The camera fades to black.]
Scene 25
[Camera fades in from black to show Patsy lying in a cell, she slowly opens her eyes and blinks to get used to the small amount of light. She lets out a cry of pain as she sends one of her hands to the back of her head where she was hit. In the darkness she hears a door being unlocked and two people walking into her cell]
Patsy: Who’s there!
(A fire torch is lit and the fire casts long shadows we see that the new comers are the guardian and Tally.)
Guardian: Hello Patsy…I see we meet again!
(Patsy’s eyes widen in shock and horror)
Guardian: And this is Tally an old Mallrat, we are so glad you’ve joined us!
Patsy: (spits) Like hell I will join you!
(The guardian back slaps her across the face)
Guardian: A silly mistake girl….Mallrats when will you learn!
[Camera zooms in on Patsy as tears roll down her face before camera cuts to black]
