Scene 1
[The camera fades in from the opening credits, to show Jack standing outside one of the bathrooms, he knocks on the door and then tries the handle.]
Jack: Ellie... let me in!
(From inside the bathroom we can hear Ellie sobbing)
Jack: Ellie!
Ellie: GO AWAY JACK!
Jack: No!
Ellie: Please! Please just leave me in peace!
[Ellie starts to sob more as Jack bangs his head against the toilet door and then walks away, glancing back again and again, the camera following him before fading to black.]
Scene 2
[Camera fades in from black to Apollo lying on his bed, he is once again lost in his own thoughts, he is suddenly interrupted when Dreamer walks into his room without knocking]
Dreamer: We need to talk
Apollo: Didn’t you say everything you wanted to say yesterday?
(The two stare at each other in silence)
Dreamer: I’m sorry, I didn’t mean what I said the other day, I was out of order!
Apollo: It’s, don’t worry about it
Dreamer: But what I’m about to say now…I do mean!
(Apollo sits up to show Dreamer she has his full attention)
Dreamer: What happened between us…was good…I admit it but it can’t happen again Apollo!
Apollo: Why not?
Dreamer: because I’m not ready Apollo…its nothing against you…I just don’t do relationships...its not me!
Apollo: (Nods) I understand…
(A smile creeps over his lips)
Apollo: But its not gunna stop me from trying
[Dreamer rolls her eyes as she turns to leave. Apollo lets his body fall back onto his bed a smile still spread over his lips. Camera slowly fades to black]
Scene 3
[Camera fades in from black to show Alice and Darryl in the pub kitchen, pots and pans and other cooking utensils cover the work surfaces. Darryl is stirring some kind of sauce in one pot while Alice is chopping up apples]
Darryl: And you sure you’re ok with shutting the bar for one night?
Alice: (Smiles) I promised you didn’t I?
Darryl: (Smiles back) you’re the best Alice
Alice: I know and Darryl
Darryl: Yea?
Alice: (Tries not to laugh) Your sauce is burning!!
(Darryl turns back to his sauce as it bubbles away)
Darryl: OH shit!
[Camera zooms out before fading to black]
Scene 4
[The camera fades in from black to show Tanzie sitting in one of the tents at the Chosen camp, she is surrounded by hand maidens, tending to her feet and her hair.]
(One of the hand maidens jerks Tanzie's hair)
Tanzie: Incompetent moron!
(The hand maiden starts to cry and Tanzie's motions to one of the guards)
Tanzie: Remove her!
(The hand maiden is escorted out as Tally walks into the room)
Tally: Not picking on the girls again are you?
(Tanzie ignores the comment and glares at Tally)
Tanzie: Where have you been?
Tally: Out! What's it to you?
Tanzie: Just caring for my fellow Chosen member... no more, no less!
Tally: Sure!
(Tally walks out of the room as Tanzie glares after her)
Tanzie (hisses): I don't trust you... not one little bit!
[The camera zooms to Tanzie's evil glare before fading to black.]
Scene 5
[The camera cuts in. Apollo and Phoenix are in the cafe, preparing a meal for the day. Apollo hands Phoenix the bag of potatoes and then starts to pick up some tins and reading the labels.]
Phoenix: So what's on the menu for today?
(Apollo frowns at the tins and then selects a couple)
Apollo: Beef casserole and sausages?
Phoenix: Sounds delish.
Apollo: Can I ask you a question?
(Phoenix stops from peeling potatoes and looks up)
Apollo: Why marriage?
Phoenix: Huh?
Apollo: I mean that you and Gel have been together a while now, and you seem happy. Why do you need to take it any further. Why does it have to be marriage?
(Phoenix frowns and looks at Apollo)
Phoenix: Do you remember mum and dad?
Apollo (nods): Of course I do... why?
Phoenix: They were so happy. When they got married... and when they renewed their vows.... at the end.
(Apollo looks away)
Apollo: I try to forget... but yeah I remember.
Phoenix: It's what I want for me and Gel. I want to spend the rest of my life to her, and I want to vow to love her until death do us part. And in this world, that means more than it ever did before.
(Apollo raises an eyebrow)
Apollo: Okay... well I don't think I'll ever get married.
Phoenix: Why not?
Apollo: I'm too selfish!
Phoenix: Yeah... well that's true!
[The two brothers laugh as the camera fades to black.]
Scene 6
[The camera cuts in, May is sitting up in bed brushing her hair, Enola walks in and knocks gently before entering, but walks in before waiting for an answer.]
(May feeling embarrassed, pulls the covers up across her chest.)
May: Salene! Can't you give me a moment!
(Enola stops suddenly and nearly falls over.)
Enola: Huh?
May: I said can't you give me a moment, don't just walk in without knocking!
Enola: That's not it!
May (frowns): Huh?
Enola: You called me Salene.
May (shakes her head): No I didn't!
Enola: Yes you did!
(May shakes her head)
May: You're obviously confused!
Enola (yells): Don't tell me that I got it wrong. I know what I heard!
May: No!
Enola: Don't ever compare me to that child snatching witch!
May: Hey!
Enola: I mean it... I'm a decent person!
May: I...
[Enola turns on her heel and storms out of the room, shaking her head at May in disgust as May falls back into bed and puts her head in her hands. The camera cuts to the next scene.]
Scene 7
[Camera pans around Cass’s bedroom she is sat by the window on a rocking share humming to Jake as he drinks from his bottle. She smiles down at him but as she looks up her eyes tell us that she is lost in her own thoughts]
(Camera follows Cass’s gaze and on the windowsill is a photo frame with a picture of Jake and Kacie when they were first born in it)
(Cass looks down at Jake and gently runs one of her hands over his cheek)
Cass: I wonder what your sister is doing right now? I wonder if she remembers us?
(Jake finishes his bottle and Cass takes it off him, as she leans back into the chair before rocking him to sleep)
Cass: but you will grow up knowing you have a sister and maybe I wont find her again but maybe you will when your older and you will remember her!
[Jake snuggles against his mums chest and closes his eyes as he drifts off to sleep leaving Cass alone with her thoughts]
Scene 8
[Camera slowly fades in from black to show Tally standing outside one of the prisoner tents, she looks around before ducking through the door, As she lets her eyes adjust to the darkness, she moves through the tent until she finds Patsy]
Patsy: (looks her up in disgust) What do you want?
Tally: (Whispers) Patsy listen please…I’m working with the Mallrats in the downfall of the Chosen
Patsy: Like they would trust you!
Tally: (Shakes her head) I know you wouldn’t believe me so I spoke to KC and he has a message for you but I’ll only give it to you if you listen to what I have to say….
(Patsy thinks it over for a second before shaking her head)
Patsy: If I find out this is a trick I swear I will kill you
Tally: (Smiles) Does that mean you will listen then?
[Patsy nods in agreement as Tally explains to her what has been going on back at the airport and with the Chosen. Camera pans out before cutting to the next scene]
Scene 9
[Camera cuts to show the guardian in his own tent. He is sat on the floor in front of a large picture of Zoot]
Guardian: Oh mightily Zoot, please hear my words…please offer me advice in these times of darkness.
(Camera cuts to the photo of Zoot)
Guardian: (Cont) something is happening and I cant work out what it is…why aren’t you listening to my prays why aren’t you showing me the right path! Am I seeing the downfall of the Mallrats or my own downfall?
Guardian: Praise be to Zoot!
[Camera zooms in on Guardian before fading to black]
Scene 10
[The camera cuts in to show Rain lying in her bed, her bear is tucked under her arm and her thumb is in her mouth. As the camera pans around, we can see that Bray is sitting in a chair at the other end of Rain's room whilst she takes a nap. He is reading a book and looks up when she starts to cry.]
(Bray moves closer as the camera pans in and shows that Rain is having a nightmare. Bray gently shakes her and wakes her up)
Bray (softly): Rain?
(Rain screams and jumps up, seeing Bray she jumps into his arms and wraps her arms around him and sobs into his shoulder)
Bray: Ssh honey... it was just a dream.
Rain (sobbing): Daddy... it was scary!
[Bray glances at Rain and starts to sob himself as he holds his daughter close and the camera fades to black.]
Scene 11
[Camera fades in from black to show Patsy lying on the floor she pushes her self up as she hears movement from the other side of the tent. The door is opened up and light pours into the darkness, as Patsy’s eyes adjust to the light she sees that the other prisoners in her tent are all female and that they are all pregnant. Patsy’s mouth falls open before the scene comes to an end]
Scene 12
[Fading in from black we can see that Jack is back at the bathroom door where Ellie was previously locked in. The door opens gently and we can see that Ellie is poking her head out. ]
Jack: Come on sweetie.
(Jack puts his hand out and Ellie takes it, grasping hold tightly as she slips around the bathroom door and into Jacks arms. The pair of them walk back to their room and Ellie moves to sit down on the bed.)
Jack: Want to tell me what's up?
(Ellie shakes her head and adjusts her headscarf)
Ellie: Nothing. I just felt sad.
Jack: Ellie... its me... just me!
Ellie: It's nothing Jack...
(Jack moves to in front of Ellie and falls to his knees, putting his hands on her knees)
Jack: Please. Just tell me. I want to help.
(Ellie looks down at Jack as she touches his face with her hand)
Ellie: I'm... I've just not been feeling too well... since...
Jack: …the miscarriage?
Ellie (nods): Yeah...
(Ellie puts her head in her hands and starts to cry. Jack reaches up and takes hold of Ellie, hugging her tightly)
Jack: Oh Ellie!
[Ellie cries into Jack's arms and the camera cuts to the next scene.]
Scene 13
[The camera fades in from black as we see Slade and Trudy walking outside, Trudy is holding on tightly to Brady's hand as she walks closely to Slade. ]
Slade: Okay?
(Trudy nods and looks at Brady)
Trudy: Just feeling a little cautious.
Slade: That's understandable.
Trudy: Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. I'm just fed up with being scared all the time. I want this thing with the Chosen to be over, once and for you.
(Trudy looks at Slade to make sure that Brady isn't listening)
Trudy: I want the Guardian's head on a f**king stick!
Slade: I know... but it's easier said than done.
Trudy: How am I supposed to stop being scared in the meantime? It's not like I have anywhere to go!
Slade: Move in with me.
(Trudy blinks a couple of times and nods)
Trudy: Huh?
Slade (smiles): I said move in with me.
Trudy (smiles): Really? You mean it?
Slade (nods): Yes... move in... right now!
Trudy: Oh yes... yes!
(Trudy laughs and jumps into Slade's outstretched arms, hugging him as he spins her around. When he puts her down, the camera moves to Brady and shows that she is jumping up and down)
Brady: My turn?!
[Slade nods and picks her up, spinning her around just as fast as he did her mother, the camera panning to Trudy's happy smile before fading to black.]
Scene 14
[Camera fades in from black to show that Brooke’s bar is closes for the night. Camera cuts inside to show a candle lit table in the middle of the room while more candles are lined up on the bar. On either side of the table sit Jared and Darryl]
Jared: (smiles) I never knew you could cook?
Darryl: I had a little help from Alice!
Jared: (raises an eyebrow) A Wee bit?
Darryl: (Laughs) OK a lot of help!
(Jared starts to laugh as well as he pushes his plate away from himself)
Jared: I don’t want to ruin our night as it has been the most amazing night I have had in a long time…but I need to know…are you still in love with Axel!
Darryl: (Lost for words) I’m….umm…..why?
Jared: I’ just need to know if I’m fighting a losing battle
(Darryl looks past Jared lost in his own thoughts before turning back to Jared and taking hold of his hand)
Darryl: There is always going to be something between me and Axel as much as I hate to admit it and it would be a lie to say that I don’t think about him from time to time but then when I think about what I have with you and I forget about him, like he’s my past and you’re my future does that make sense?
(Jared nods and leans across the table so that he is able to kiss Darryl)
Jared: (Smiles) Now I only came tonight cause I was promised apple pie
Darryl: (smiles) I’ll go and get it shall I?
[Jared laughs as Darryl jumps up and heads towards the kitchen to collect the pie. Jared relaxes back into his chair, clad to get it off his chest. Camera zooms out before fading to black]
Scene 15
[The camera fades from black to show Ebony walking down the corridor of the airport, the camera follows her and stops behind her as she stops outside KC and Patsy's room. Knocking loudly on the door, she doesn't wait for an answer before turning the door handle. Before she can push the door open, KC yanks it open from inside the room.]
KC: What do you want?
Ebony: Your help.
KC: To do what?
Ebony: Take down the Chosen once and for all.
(KC steps to one side and motions for Ebony to enter)
KC: I'm listening.
Ebony: Good.
KC: This better not be a joke. I'm not in the mood.
(Ebony looks around for a seat and raises an eyebrow when KC sits down and doesn't offer her a seat)
Ebony: Nice to see chivalry's dead.
KC: Like I give a shit.
Ebony: Charming.
KC: Now... what was this about the Chosen?
(Ebony takes a seat on the bed next to KC and turns to look at him)
Ebony: You are the only one who understands what I'm going through. We need to attack. Now.
KC: What about the others?
Ebony: They won't help. It's you or no one.
KC: Okay.
Ebony: So are you in?
[KC looks around, his gaze falling on a picture of Patsy on his bedside table. He then turns his gaze back to Ebony and nods, the camera fading to black on Ebony's pleased looking face before fading to black.]
Scene 16
[Camera fades in from black to show Gel walking through the airport with a spring in her step, she has a smile plastered on her face which she is unable to find, as she enters the canteen she finds Trudy and Brady sat at one of the tables eating some freshly baked fairy cakes. Gel sits with the two girls]
Trudy: (raises an eyebrow) Happy are we today are we Gel?
Gel: Yea you could say that!
Trudy: So come on then spill the beans why so happy?
Gel: (Pulls a face) I really shouldn’t say
Brady: Pretty please!
(Gel taps her fingers on the table for a minute before spurting out the truth)
Gel: Me and Phoenix are engaged!
(Trudy gives out a little cry and pulls her friend into a hug)
Trudy: Congratulations
Gel: Thanks Trud!
Brady: Can I be your bridesmaid?
Trudy: (Laughs) You have to wait and be asked Brady!
Gel: Well I was wondering if you would be our flower girl Brady?
Brady: (Smiles) Oh wow!
(Gel picks up Brady and pulls the small girl into a cuddle)
Trudy: (Mouths) Thank you!
[Camera zooms out before fading to black]
Scene 17
[Camera fades in from black, we see Lottie move away from the cot she has just put Xavier in and then climbs into bed next to Sammy. She snuggles up against him but he is off in his own world]
Lottie: (Smiles) Earth to Sammy?
Sammy: Huh?
Lottie: You was miles away….something on your mind!
(Sammy turns back to Lottie and gently kisses her on the head)
Lottie: Come on spill!
Sammy: I’ve just been thinking lately…and I don’t want to live in the city anymore!
Lottie: (Pulls away) You’re leaving me?
Sammy: (Shakes his head) NO! Of course not! What I mean is that I want us to leave the city together, me, you and Xavier!
Lottie: …Oh I see
(Sammy raises an eyebrow)
Sammy: Don’t you want to leave?
Lottie: But the Mallrats, their our family…I couldn’t just up and leave!
Sammy: Will you think about it?
Lottie: (Nods) Yes!
[Sammy smiles and pulls Lottie closer to him as they pull the covers up, before the camera fades out to black]
Scene 18
[Camera fades in from black to Brooke’s bar, soft music is playing in the background, camera cuts to inside to show Jared and Darryl decked out in one of the booths]
Jared: I could easily fall asleep here
Darryl: (nods) Sounds like a plan…Jared can I ask you a question?
Jared: Knock yourself out!
Darryl: You’ve been here for a while now…you are planning to stick around for a lot longer now we’re together?
(Jared stiffens and sits up, causing Darryl to sit up as well)
Darryl: You’re planning to leave?
Jared: Darryl…I never stick in one place to long…I’ve always been the sort of person to move on, explore the world…I like my freedom to much
Darryl: (feeling his heat break) and me?
Jared: (Smiles) Well I was hoping you would come with me?
Darryl: Really?
(Jared nods)
Darryl: Just say the world and I’ll be by your side!
[The couple share a tender kiss as the screen fades to black]
Scene 19
[The camera fades in. Patsy is sitting in her cell, her head in her hands as she sighs deeply and then looks around. ]
Patsy (whispers): Please, please let me get out of this... I promise I'll be the best person ever, I'll never do anything bad! Ever!
(One of the girls near to Patsy moves over and sits down next to Patsy)
Girl: I'm Scarlet.
Patsy: Patsy.
Girl: How long have you been here?
Patsy: Seems like a couple of months to me... I don't know to be honest. You?
Girl: Weeks... I lost count.
Patsy: Have... have you met a girl called Danni? Or Calli?
Girl (shakes her head): No... sorry. She a friend of yours?
Patsy: Yeah... she's with my tribe.
Girl: Sorry.
[Patsy looks out in front of her and watches the door, the camera focusing on her for several minutes before fading to black.]
Scene 20
[Amber is lying in bed sighing as she reaches for the clock on her bedside table. She sighs when she sees what the time is. Sitting up, the camera pans around the room to show Amber's wheelchair that is located near the doorway.]
Amber: Can't get bloody help when you need it!
(Amber moves her legs closer to the edge of the bed as she reaches out to the wheelchair but is not able to reach it completely)
Amber: Almost!
(Amber moves her legs even closer and reaches far out for the chair, she doesn't reach it and loses her balance, screaming as she falls to the floor in a loud thud.)
Amber: Damn it!
[Amber screams in frustration before the camera cuts to black.]
Scene 21
[Camera fades in from black to show the Guardian, Tally and Viola along with a new other top members of the Chosen enjoying a meal. The Guardian looks around and realises that a few chairs are empty]
Guardian: Where is Tanzie….and Caleb, they should be here!
Guard One: Tanzie is…
(Before he is able to finish what he is saying someone steps out from the shadows and slits his throat sending his body crashing to the ground. The door is pushed open and Caleb and Tanzie storm in with a hand full of follows who spread around the table. The guardian stands up in protest)
Guardian: What is the meaning of this?
Caleb: Let’s just say, out of the ashes of an old tribe a phoenix soars!
Guardian: But the Chosen….
Tanzie: Are finished…a new order is about to begin
Guardian: (Shouts) Guards seize them!
[Fights break out between the Guardian’s Guards and Caleb’s follows. In the chaos, Tally sneaks around the back and slips out of the tent. Camera zooms in on Caleb’s smug look before cutting to the next scene]
Scene 22
[The camera cuts in to show May and Enola sitting in the cafe, both are staring into cups of tea. Neither saying anything.]
May: So... this morning.
Enola (nods): Yeah. Sorry.
May (shakes her head): No... I'm sorry.
Enola: I over reacted.
May: So did I... I tried to deny that I don't think about Salene. And the truth is I do.
Enola: You do?
May: Yeah. But not in the way I use to... I think about what she did and where she is. I don't love her anymore. That much I know.
Enola: Oh, I'm sorry. I've been such a jealous cow, I've been trying to take her place instead of just being me.
(The two girls laugh)
May: What a pair we are!
Enola: Tell me about it!
(May and Enola hold hands as the pair of them look at each other)
May: Peace?
Enola (nods): Yes. Let's start the day again.
May: Deal!
[May leans over and kisses Enola, the camera fading to black on the happy couple.]
Scene 23
[Camera pans around the Chosen camp to show that it is in complete chaos, fights breaking out between the old Chosen and the new age one. Camera zooms in on Tally who is dodging the fighting and making her way towards the prison tents.]
(Tally slips under the tent door, she then slams her fist into the guards face, causing her to drop to the floor)
Tally: Ok everyone, we are having a break out!
(Smiles spread out on all the girls faces, as Tally starts to untie them. Tally drops by Patsy’s side and unties her)
Patsy: (smiles) Thank you Tally…I’m sorry…
Tally: Tell me later…we gotta run…
(Patsy nods in understanding and lets Tally help her up before they follow the rest of the girls out of the tent. Tally takes one final look at the camp before she sets off after Patsy)
Voice off screen: Not so fast!
(Tally turns around just as Tanzie lifts up a baseball bat and hits her across the face, causing Tally to drop to the ground)
[The camera pans out as the fighting continues before fading to black]
Scene 24
[The camera cuts in from the previous scene to show the outskirts of the city, the sun is starting to set as we see a figure with black hair climbing the rocky road to the north of the city. The camera follows the figure for several minutes before panning to the top of the road and looking down as the figure reaches the top.]
(The figure looks up and his face is caught on camera, we can see that the person is Ryan, gone is the short brown hair from when he left and instead he has short dreadlocks, and a short beard. He is dressed very differently from the way he was a few months previously.)
(Ryan reaches the top of the road and looks around, the camera panning around to show the outline of the airport.)
Ryan: Time to go back...
[The camera pans back around to show the 'new' Ryan before fading to black.]
Scene 25
[The camera fades in from black to show that the fight between the two tribes is still on going, Caleb studies the fight from the edge of the forest with a few of his close followers, he turns his back on the fight for the first time]
Caleb: Take Tanzie and the prisoners towards the city and set up base, I will follow behind with as many follows as I can!
Justin: Understood
Caleb: And Justin? Don’t mess up!
(The guy known as Justin disappears deeper into the forest with the rest of Caleb’s closest follows, while Caleb heads back into battle)
Caleb: Victory will be ours!
[Camera zooms in on Caleb’s determined face before fading to black]
[End credits cut in]
