Scene 1
[The camera fades in from the opening credits and continues from the previous episode. We see that Ebony and Amber are now joined by Dreamer on their side of the doorway, the rest of the Mallrats have joined the others and the whole tribe is gathered in the corridor.]
Ebony: It's time we went to war. The Chosen are a bunch of scumbags. We all know that.
Patsy (nods): Yes. We have to save everyone that we can. Not everyone... not everyone was as lucky as me.
(KC turns his eyes away from Patsy as the camera pans around the group)
Bray: They're right.
Amber: We've been letting the Chosen get away with things for a long time. Its time that we fight back. Once and for all!
(Several of the Mallrats cheer)
Lex: I for one don't want to have to put up with those freaks threatening my son!
Trudy: I'm tired. Tired of being afraid!
Amber: Let's end it!
Ebony: Let's go to war!
[The Mallrats cheer as the camera pans around the group and fades to black.]
Scene 2
[The camera fades in from black to show Caleb and Tanzie lying side by side in their cot bed while their baby sleeps in Tanzie’s arms]
Caleb: (raises an eyebrow) Elijah?
Tanzie: (Nods) Yea…it means “lord is my god”
Caleb: Well I guess it’s better then the other names you came up with
(Tanzie shrugs and turns back to her child)
Tanzie: Hello Elijah, my chosen son!
Caleb: Elijah leader of the chosen, bringer of Power and Chaos!
[The proud parents smile at each other as the camera pans around and fades out to black]
Scene 3
[Camera fades in from black to reveal Jared walking through the airport, he nods at different Mallrats as he passes them, when he reaches his final destination he takes a deep breathe before knocking on the door]
(The camera pans around to show Axel answering the door)
Axel: (frowns) Can I help you?
Jared: (Nods) Yea you can listen to what I have to say
(Axel moves aside to allow Jared into his room)
Axel: What is it that you want?
Jared: It’s about Darryl….
Axel: Is he ok?
(Jared nods)
Jared: He’s more then ok…he’s in love…but not with me (laughs to himself) I’ve known for a long time that he’s not in love with me but I thought I could change his mind, make him love me and for awhile I think he even made himself believe that he loved me, but I’m not you so he is never going to love me like he loves you!
(Axel stands in silence taking in everything Jared is saying to him)
Jared: (continues) So it is for that reason that I’m leaving…I’m leaving because I love Darryl enough to let him be happy with the guy he wants to be with…
Axel: You would really do that for him? For us?
Jared: That’s what love means, scarifying your feelings and needs for the person you love even if means you loss them to someone else
(Axel nervously rubs the back of his neck)
Axel: I dunno what to say…
Jared: (holds up his hands) You don’t have to say anything, just promise me you will look after him and will love him and I’ll make a promise to you…
Axel: Which is?
Jared: If you hurt him again I will come back and hurt you!
(Axel nods, Jared turns to leave)
Axel: Thank you Jared
Jared: (stops) Don’t mention it!
[Axel watches as Jared walks out of his room before he lets his body drop onto his bed, a smile spread across his lips. Camera cuts to the next scene]
Scene 4
[Camera pans around the Chosen camp, the sound of a new born crying comes from the guardian’s tent. The camera cuts inside of the tent to show the Guardian holding the child in his arms while Viola is still tied to the bed with tears rolling down her face]
Guardian: (To Viola) You have done an amazing job, Zoot will award those who help the cause!
(Guardian hands the small baby to one of the hand maidens)
Guardian: Clean him up and put him in his tent!
(The hand maid nods and takes the small child into her arms before she leaves. The guardian moves closer to Viola who is trying to fight against sleep)
Guardian: I think it is time you joined Zoot my child, the supreme mother should be by Zoot’s side!
(The Guardian pulls out a knife from inside his robes)
Viola: Oh god…NO….please, please don’t!!!
(As the guardian raises the knife, the camera cuts to outside the tent, where we see the hand maid walking away from the scene, she snaps her head around when an ear piercing scream floods out from the guardian’s tent)
Hand Maid: Zoot be praised!
[Camera zooms onto the small boy before cutting to the next scene]
Scene 5
[The camera fades in and pans around the room to show Lottie and Cass sitting in the meeting room, around them are all sorts of things for the children of the tribe. There are toys and games, nappies and changing mats. As the camera pans around we can see Brady, Bray jnr, Rain, Jake, Xavier and Theo.]
(Bray and Colby are standing near to Cass as they talk in hushed voices.)
Bray: So you're okay with staying?
(Cass and Lottie look at each other before nodding at Bray)
Cass: We don't want to Bray. But I think I speak for the both of us when I say that we know that we have to keep the kids safe.
Bray: Thanks Cass.
(The camera pans around the room and falls on Lex as he watches Theo wiggling in his carry cot.)
Colby: It's hard isn't it?
(Lex looks up at Colby and nods)
Lex: I never knew how hard it was. I guess only now I know how hard it must have been for you when... when Kacie was taken.
(Colby has a sharp intake of breath as he looks at his son and sighs)
Lex: Sorry... still a sore point.
Colby (nods): Yeah...
Lex: Kids huh?
Colby: Yeah. I know! Can't help but love them to bits.
[The camera focuses on Theo and then fades to black.]
Scene 6
[Camera fades in from black to show Caleb and Tanzie sharing a passionate kiss at the edge of their camp]
Tanzie: (whispers) be safe
Caleb: (Nods) always
(Caleb turns to face his tribe)
Caleb: (Calls out) Today we go to war!
(The new age chosen roar with excitement before they leave the camp and head towards the city, towards the airport)
[Camera pans on Tanzie is standing with a handful of faithful men, including Justin. Camera cuts to black]
Scene 7
[Camera fades in from black to show Apollo standing at the entrance of the airport keeping watch, he presses his face up against the glass but nothing out of the ordinary catches his attention]
Off screen: Apollo?
(Apollo turns around to see Dreamer standing behind him slightly uneasy)
Apollo: What is it Dreamer, cause I’m kind of busy waiting to be attacked you know?
(Dreamer moves closer)
Dreamer: I’ve come to say sorry for how I’ve been acting towards you, it’s not your fault you’ve fallen in love with me and I should respect your feelings
Apollo: ummm thanks!
Dreamer: I haven’t finished…and if we survive this attack then maybe…and I do mean maybe…we can go out for a drink!
Apollo: (Smiles) I would like that!
(Apollo closes the gap and goes to kiss her, but she steps to the side so that he ends up kissing her cheek)
Dreamer: (Laughs) Better luck next time!
[Dreamer leaves the corridor, leaving Apollo to think over what she has said. Camera pans out before cutting to the next scene]
Scene 8
[The camera cuts to the following scene to show Patsy sitting in her room, folding some of her clothes. KC lets himself in and takes a seat next to Patsy before taking her hand into his own]
KC: (Smiles) You know I love you don’t you Patsy
Patsy: (Nods) I’m finding it hard to believe it at the moment but yea I know you do!
KC: and I want us to move on from this and be happy but at the moment I cant do that, because I can’t trust you, I can’t understand why you don’t just tell me the truth, that they raped you!
(Patsy brings her free hand up and slaps KC across his face)
Patsy: (stands up) How dare you KC….How fucking dare you! I wasn’t raped they beat me black and blue but they never raped me because I was already pregnant I was already carrying a child when I got there…not that I have to explain myself to you!
(Patsy turns on her heels and storms out of her room ensuring to slam the door behind her as she goes)
[KC lets out a groan as he hides his face in his hands. Camera pans out before cutting to black]
Scene 9
[The camera cuts in to the beach as we once again see Danni in her cage, this time as the camera pans around we see Jay. We see that the blonde short cropped look he had has grown out and he has longer hair now.]
Jay (frowns): How... how do you know who I am?
Danni: We have a common enemy!
Jay: Huh?
(Danni smirks and holds out her hand to Jay)
Danni: The name's Danni... former Mallrat leader!
Jay: Wait... Danni?! Bray's Danni?
(Danni shudders as she pulls her hand back)
Danni: I'm not anyone's... I'm a free woman!
Jay: Looks like it... especially in a cage! So, you're the one that was with Bray?
Danni: I hear you have just as poorer choice as me... you were with Amber?
(The pair look at each other for the longest moment before they laugh)
Danni: Nice to meet you Jay!
Jay: Likewise!
Danni: So how did you end up a guest of the Chosen? (motions to the guards)
Jay: I was captured, on an island not too far from here! Been a guest for a good few weeks, or is it months. I forget!
Danni: Wonderful! And hows the hospitality?
Jay: Just peachy!
Danni: I can see we're going to have a wonderful time together!
[The camera pans around to show the Chosen guards and then fades to black.]
Scene 10
[The camera fades in from the previous scene to show Amber walking stiffly down a corridor at the airport, although she is now walking she is not back up to full speed and is weighted down with food supplies. Suddenly an arm reaches out and grabs Amber, pulling her into one of the cells.]
Amber (yells): Hey!
Bray: Don't scream... it's just me!
Amber: Bray?
(Bray nods and pulls Amber into a tight embrace)
Amber: What is this all about? I've got things to do.
Bray: Yeah me too. But I needed to do this...
Amber (frowns): What?
(Bray wraps his arms tightly around Amber and kisses her passionately. The two kiss for the longest moment before breaking apart for air.)
Amber (breathlessly): You haven't... kissed me like... that in... a... a long time!
Bray (smiles): Well get use to it... there's plenty more where that one came from!
(Amber takes Brays hand and smiles at him)
Amber: Bray... you know I love you. I want this all to be over, so that the thre... so that the four of us can be a family.
Bray: Yeah?
Amber (nods): Yeah.
(Bray smiles happily)
Amber: Now how about another one of those kisses?
[Bray laughs as he kisses Amber passionately again and runs his hands through her hair as the camera fades to black.]
Scene 11
[Camera fades in from black to show Phoenix dragging Gel across the run ways towards her private Jet, once there he pushes her up the steps and through the open door]
Gel: (turns to face him) What’s the rush?
Phoenix: We don’t know when we are going to be under attack and I can’t risk, I won’t risk you being caught in the fight
Gel: (steps back outside and rests one of her hands on his cheek) You don’t always have to look out for me!
Phoenix: (smiles) Yes I do, You’re going to be my wife one of these days I cant afford to loss you now, please Gel for me…please stay inside lock the door and don’t come out until I get you!
(Gel closes her eyes and takes in a deep breathe)
Gel: Fine but you better come back alive or I will kill you!
Phoenix: (smiles) I promise!
(Gel leans down and gently kisses him before stepping back into her Jet and locks the door)
Phoenix: (leans against the door) I love you
Gel (Off screen) I love you too!
[Camera pans out as Phoenix heads back down the steps and towards the airport before camera fades out to black]
Scene 12
[The camera fades in from black to red and then to show the Guardian close up, the camera pans out to show men, many men in Chosen robes standing behind the Guardian. They all hold weapons and stand in formation.]
Guardian: Praise be to Zoot!
All: Praise be to Zoot!
(The men start to chant as a stick is raised from out of the middle of them.)
All: ZOOT! ZOOT! ZOOT!
(The stick raises and on it we see Viola's head mounted, a 'Z' is carved into her forehead as the camera pans in to the Guardian.)
All: ZOOT! ZOOT! ZOOT!
[The camera zooms to the Guardian's face as his face breaks into a smile and he points ahead and the men start to march. The camera fading to black.]
Scene 13
[The camera fades in from black to show Darryl sat at an empty, hearing movement from upstairs he watches as Jared walks down the steps with his bag on his back. The two boys lock eye contact and Jared shakes his head]
Darryl: Please tell me that’s just some old stuff you’re throwing away
Jared: (shakes his head) I’m sorry Darryl
(Darryl jumps up from his seat and stands in Jared’s way)
Darryl: Have I done something wrong…it’s me isn’t it?
Jared: NO, it’s Axel
Darryl: (frowns) What has he done to you?
Jared: (laughs) Nothing…its because your still in love with Axel that I’m leaving
(tears start to build up in Darryl’s eyes)
Jared: (reaches out and wipes the tears away) I’m ok with it and you should be happy go back to Axel, Darryl and be happy!
Darryl: (shakes his head) I never meant to hurt you
Jared: You haven’t…we’ve had fun haven’t we, I will never regret what we had and you shouldn’t ever!
(Darryl nods and Jared leans in and the couple share one last kiss)
Jared: Goodbye Darryl
[Darryl tries to smile as he steps out of Jared’s way. He holds back any more tears as Jared leaves the bar. The two boys share one final look before Jared pulls the door shut behind him. Darryl moves back and takes a seat on the stairs where he thinks back over their time together. Camera fades to black]
Scene 14
[The camera fades in and we see the inside of the airport, Lex, Colby and KC are watching the front entrance of the airport. They watch the gathering forces outside the airport as KC starts to pace.]
Lex: This does not look good.
Colby (nods): Yeah.
Lex: Are you guys ready for a fight
(Both Colby and KC look up at Lex and look ahead solemnly. Lex groans and throws down his knife on the floor. Both of them look up and frown.)
Lex (shakes his head in disbelief): You two are beyond belief! You're moping around here like your already at death's door and you haven't even begun to fight yet! Why are you both so bloody miserable?
KC: I'm not!
Lex: Yes you bloody are!
KC: Well I have every right!
Lex: Oh my god... get over yourself! You have a beautiful finance who loves you so much, she's about to have your child and you have everything anyone could ever want. And you're wasting time that you have together doubting her and questioning about the baby! Believe her... swallow your pride and get over it!
(Colby scoffs and Lex turns to face him.)
Lex: And you! You're no better. You've gone through this stupid change, with an even more stupid name! Why are you being so mean to Cass! You love her, she loves you and for fucks sake get back together and tell her how you feel!
Colby: Hey!
Lex: It's the truth! You both have so much to live for... someone to love! Don't you ever take it for granted! Trust me! I know!
[Lex shakes his head and storms off leaving behind an ashamed looking KC and Colby as the camera cuts to the next scene.]
Scene 15
[The camera fades in from black to show Alice wandering around the outside of the nearly deserted Chosen camp. As the camera pans around we see that the number of Chosen previously seen at the camp has decreased greatly. We can hear the sound of babies crying as the camera pans back to Alice.]
Alice: Time to be heroic Alice! Now go!
(Alice creeps behind tent to tent before she reaches a concrete building in the middle. She flattens herself against a wall as a patrol passes by. We hear the sound of a soft moan as Alice turns her head and slips down a doorway nearby.)
Tally (softy): Help!
(Alice rounds the corner and sees Tally lying in the middle of a cell floor, she is curled into the foetal position and moaning softly.)
Alice (worried): Tally?
Tally: Alice... will you help me?
(Alice nods and helps Tally to her feet.)
Alice: Tally can you walk. We have to get out of here!
(Tally nods, leaning heavily against Alice.)
Tally: The nursery.
Alice: What?
Tally: The babies in the nursery. We have to get there!
Alice: Okay! Which way?!
[Tally points towards the doorway as the camera pans around to show row after row of babies and fades to black.]
Scene 16
[Camera fades in from black and we see the Mallrats gathered in the lobby all holding different items as weapons, the camera pans out and we see that the guardian and his followers are outside the airport.]
Guardian: Come on Mallrats come out and play…either way this ends tonight and let’s be honest your all going to die because Zoot has shown me this and so it will be
(Cut inside the airport)
Bray: keep it together guys, he’s just trying to wide us up…we need to hold our ground as long as we can…
(Cut to the Guardian)
Guardian: You can’t defeat us this time, don’t you understand that, you’ve had so many chances of killing me but haven’t because it is Zoot’s will that I survive and you die!
Caleb Off-screen: Or maybe it is you that will die today Guardian
(Camera pans out and we see that Caleb and his tribe have arrived out side the airport)
Caleb: (Screams) Attack!
(Camera cuts back inside of the airport)
Ebony: This is it guys!
[The Mallrats duck for cover and scream as one of the chosen drive a large truck through the entrance of the airport sending glass towards the Mallrats and causing the doors to break apart. Camera cuts to the next scene]
Scene 17
[The camera cuts in and we see Ellie running towards the airport she stops in her tracks as she sees the fight, and quickly takes refuge behind an old bus]
Ellie: Alice! Where are you?
(Ellie crouches behind the bus and peers around the edge as the camera pans over to the airport to show that the number of Chosen surrounding the airport has increased and that Ellie is unable to get to her friends and family.)
Ellie: This is bad, really bad!
[The camera pans around to show the Chosen vs the New Chosen and cuts to black.]
Scene 18
[The camera fades in from black and we see the airport in the background, the camera pans around the perimeter of the airport as the Chosen fight the new Chosen.]
(Very few members of the Chosen attack the airport, as a few bricks are thrown and several windows smash.)
(Screams of the Chosen are heard as the camera pans through the crowd and shows the men attacking each other, staffs are raised and knives are used as the two warring tribes attack each other.)
[The camera pans faster and faster through the tribes until the screen becomes blurry and the camera fades to black.]
Scene 19
[The Camera cuts to the entrance of the airport where the Mallrats are standing their ground fighting off the Chosen and new Chosen alike as they enter the building]
Lex: (Shoves one against the nearest wall) Bray there’s too many of them
(Bray who is fighting off two New age chosen observes the situation before nodding to Lex)
Lex: (Nods back to Bray before calling out to the Mallrats) Alright guys you know the drill fall back to secondary positions
(The Mallrats break apart and move further into the airport some taking guard on the stairways while others block off corridors which run deeper into the airport and a hand full of the others spread out across the main lobby to fight off the oncoming storm.)
(Camera cuts back to the entrance where Bray is still fighting a handful of the chosen but Phoenix and Apollo come to his aid)
Phoenix: Go Bray, we will hold them off here as long as we can
(Bray nods and runs back to his secondary position on the stairway.)
(The scene turns into slow motion as both Apollo and Phoenix fight off Chosen member after Chosen member using skills they learnt before the virus at a Judo class)
[Camera cuts to the main part of the airport to show that some have slipped past the boys and are now fighting with Lex, Slade, Ryan, Dreamer and Ebony. Camera cuts to the following scene]
Scene 20
[Camera cuts to show Ellie still hiding behind the bus]
Ellie: (To herself) OH my god what do I do?
(Camera pans around and we see Darryl running towards her he skids to a stop and presses his back against the bus)
Ellie: Darryl?
Darryl: Ellie, I’m so happy to see you…it’s a war zone out there, the chosen are destroying the city! Where are the others?
Ellie: Darryl…they are trapped in the Airport still
Darryl: Oh god No!
[Darryl peers around the side of the bus and is shocked to see how many Chosen there are! Camera zooms out before fading to black]
Scene 21
[The camera cuts in from black to show Danni and Jay in their cage. This time they have several loaves of bread and water.]
Danni: They really know how to treat you here, huh?
Jay (laughs): Oh yeah. It's a real gourmet meal!
(Danni breaks off a chunk of bread and smiles before she dunks it in some water and nibbles hungrily.)
Jay: So Danni. What happened with you and the Mallrats?
Danni (shrugs): It's a long story!
Jay: So give me the short version!
Danni: Hmm, lets see. I got with Bray, I got captured by the Chosen I lost my memory, had a kid, met the Mallrats again, got with Bray, but got chucked the moment Amber found out and then I got captured again.
Jay: Sounds heavy!
Danni: Yeah. But you know what makes it really crap?
Jay: What?
Danni: Bray! I'm so mad at him, so fucking mad! I want to kill him!
Jay: Sounds like we have something in common!
Danni: Huh?!
(Jay laughs as he hands Danni a glass of water)
Jay: I feel the same way about Amber! I want her dead!
Danni: Oh... you know Jay, I like the way you talk!
[The camera fades to black.]
Scene 22
[Camera fades in from black to show outside the airport, bodies of both the chosen and the new chosen are scattered over the floor like dead ants. Camera zooms in as Caleb slams a chosen girl’s head against the airport wall and letting her lifeless body drop to the floor. Caleb steps back and studies the scene realising that he has lost most of his followers]
Caleb: (Calls out) Fall back…regroup at the camp I repeat Fall back!
(Caleb is flanked by two other members of his tribe and together they fight their way out from the battle as more members join them)
(Camera fades out to black)
(Camera fades back in to show that most of the fighting has stopped and only a few are left, the survivors stagger away from the battle field leaving the dead behind)
[The Camera zooms towards the airport before cutting to the next scene]
Scene 23
[The camera cuts in from the previous scene to show the cafe of the airport. Glass is lying on the floor and Jack is crouched over Sammy, holding a cloth to his head.]
(The Mallrats start to gather all together in the cafe)
Bray: What happened?
(Jack turns to face Bray)
Jack: Flying glass. Nothing major!
Bray: Good!
(Lex, KC and Colby come running in)
Bray: How are the kids?
Lex: Fine. We just came from there!
Bray: Good!
(The Mallrats return one by one as several minutes pass.)
Bray: Is that everyone?
(The Mallrats look around and nod)
Amber: Wait! Where's Trudy?
Apollo: And Slade?
[The Mallrats look around as they glance at each other and the camera cuts to the next scene.]
Scene 24
[Camera cuts to the New age Chosen camp where Tanzie is sat in her tent along with Elijah and her hand maid]
Tanzie: Louise can you go and find Justin ask him if he has received any news yet?
Louise: (Nods) Yes my queen!
(As Louise stands up to leave the tent door is blown open and a bloodied Caleb storms in)
Tanzie: OH my god, Caleb
Caleb: (Looks up) It’s over…we’ve lost!
Tanzie: (Panics) What are we to do?!
Caleb: We leave…we head to the promise land and start again before it’s too late, prepare to leave in the next couple of hours!
(Caleb leaves as Tanzie drops to the floor and starts to cry)
Louise: Come on my queen we need to pack now isn’t the time to cry!
Tanzie: (nods) your right!
[Tanzie pushes herself up and starts to pack like Caleb has told her to. Camera fades out before cutting to black]
Scene 25
[The camera fades in from black to show Trudy wandering through the lower level of the airport as she looks through one of the side exits and pushes open the door. She looks around cautiously as the camera pans across the ground and we see several dead and wounded Chosen tribe members.]
Trudy (whispers): Slade?
(The camera pans to a trail of blood as Trudy frowns and starts to follow the trail and we hear the sound of a familiar voice.)
Guardian: Do it! Let me meet the mighty Zoot!
Slade: Shut up!
(The camera pans up to show Trudy standing still, her jaw dropping to the ground.)
Trudy: Slade! What's going on?
(The camera pans across the floor to show Slade standing over the Guardian, a machete knife in his hand as he holds the Guardian by the throat.)
Slade (looks worried): Trudy!
[The camera pans back to Trudy's face and then to Slade and the Guardian before zooming back to Trudy's face and zooming to fade to the end credits. ]
