Scene 1
[Camera fades in from opening credits. It pans around the north side of the city limits to show the Modes gathered all packed and ready to leave the city for good. Camera then zooms in on Gel, Phoenix, Apollo and Luna who are standing close together]
Gel: Please Phoenix don’t go…I love you…
Phoenix: (Stutters) I…umm
Apollo: (Raises an eyebrow) Bro?
Gel: (Tears in her eyes) Please?
(Camera cuts between Gel, Phoenix, Apollo and Luna before landing back on Phoenix)
Phoenix: I’m…umm…Sorry (Phoenix turns to look to his left) I can’t leave, I’m sorry Bro but I think my future starts here!
(Camera pulls out to show that Gel is beaming and that Phoenix is beaming back at her. Luna loos at the two in disgust, while Apollo on the other hand doesn’t know where to look)
Apollo: (Finally looking up) And what about me? Are you just going to forget about your brother?
Phoenix: (shakes his head) Of course not! I want you to stay with me….I need you to stay with me!
Apollo: And our tribe?
Phoenix: (Looks over at Luna who has now crossed her arms in front of her) I’m sure they will cope without us
Apollo: (Rolls his eyes) I guess I have no choice do I really?
(Apollo then flashes his older brother a smile, before the two boys share a very brief man-hug. Phoenix pulls away from the hug when he feels a soft hand land gently on his shoulder)
Gel: So you’re really going to stay with me?
Phoenix: (Whispers) That’s what you want isn’t it?
Gel: (Smiling) More then anything!
(The young brunette Mallrat pushes herself up so that her lips meet with those of Phoenix’s. As the pair deepens their kiss, someone of screen groans in disgust. Camera pans around to show Luna looking the couple up and down, running her tongue over her top teeth)
Luna: (speaking up) You’re really going to give up everything you have for this? This piece of rubbish? (Scratches her head) Now you, Phoenix, might have forgotten what she did to our tribe…
Apollo: (Cutting in) Leave it Luna!
Luna: (Not listening to the younger brother) She ripped our tribe to pieces for her own needs and it’s because of her and her new stupid tribe that Sapphire is now dead!
(In a blink of an eye, Gel has closed the gap between herself and Luna and slapped the other girl with as much force as she can master)
Gel: (In disgust) Just take your tribe and go Luna…I can’t believe I used to call you my best friend!
Luna: (huffs) Join the club sweetheart!
[With one hand covering her face, she gives the two brothers a final look before storming off to her tribe. As the Modes head off into the distance, Phoenix drapes an arm around Gel’s shoulder which she then takes his hand and kisses it. Camera zooms in on the couple before fading to black]
Scene 2
[Lottie approaches Sammy’s door and after a moment’s hesitation quickly knocks on the door before she can change her mind]
Sammy OS: Yeah?
Lottie: It’s me
Sammy: Oh?
Lottie: Can I come in?
Sammy: Are you going to run away again?
Lottie: Not if I can help it.
Sammy: I guess you can stay, but take your shoes off
Lottie: Huh?
Sammy: Well I figure you can’t get very far without your shoes.
Lottie: (laughing) alright I’ll take them off
[Sammy opens the door and Lottie takes off her shoes.}
Lottie: Where do you want me to put them?
Sammy: (taking the shoes) Give me those
[Sammy takes the shoes and places them under his bed]
Sammy: That way you can’t get them
Lottie: (smiling meekly) I guess I deserve that
Sammy: Yes you do
[Lottie sits on the bed and pats the space next to her. Sammy sits next to her.]
[Lottie picks up Sammy’s hand and places it within hers on her lap.]
Lottie: First, I just want to say I’m sorry for freaking out before.
Sammy: Well, I don’t know if I can accept that apology
Lottie: What?
Sammy: It kinda hurt Lottie. You might not have meant to, but it really did.
Lottie: Sammy, the reason I freaked out...
[Lottie pauses, Sammy takes his arm from Lottie’s lap and places it across her shoulders pulling her into a half hug]
Sammy: Whatever it is, you can tell me
Lottie: Ok, the reason I freaked out was because, Razor.
Sammy: (takes his arms off Lottie and holds her at arm’s length) What about him?
Lottie: I hadn’t been with anyone since the (pause)
Sammy: Since he... hurt you?
Lottie: (nods) tears starting to well up in her eyes
Sammy: (wraps his arms around Lottie) And you chose to spend it with me?
Lottie: (nods) yes
Sammy: Well that just about makes me the happiest man on earth right now.
[Lottie looks at Sammy]
Lottie: You really like me that much?
Sammy: For a long time now
Lottie: That’s so sweet
[Both just hug contently for awhile]
Sammy: (starts to laugh quietly) and I thought it was because I was crap.
Lottie: (laughs) well...
Sammy: What?!
Lottie: Kidding!
Sammy: (deviously) That sounds like a challenge.
Lottie: And one I’m sure you’ll fulfil
[Sammy and Lottie kiss and the camera slowly pans from the room as Sammy slowly lowers Lottie to the bed.]
Scene 3
[All the Mallrats, minus Lottie and Sammy, are sitting in the warehouse in the communal area.]
[Lex walks into the room]
Lex: (wicked grin on his face) We gotta stop meeting like this!
Bray: take a seat Lex.
[Lex walks to the empty seat by Tai-san and slowly sits.]
Bray: Alright everyone, the move to the airport. When is it all going to take place?
[Silence as everyone looks at one another.]
Alice: It should be soon
Ryan: How soon?
Patsy: I vote we start moving straight away
Tai-San: I agree, the change will do us all good
[Bray looks at Amber. Amber who is holding Bray Jr doesn’t even look at him. She instead makes faces at Bray Jr.]
[Bray sighs.]
Bray: Ok I guess that we’re all leaving for the airport. Start to gather supplies and necessary equipment. Anything we don’t need, we leave behind. Got it?
[Everyone nods]
Bray: Good. Then let’s get packing
[Everyone starts to quickly get up and head towards his or her separate areas of the warehouse.]
[Bray approaches Amber]
Bray: Hey, so what do you think?
Amber: (still looking at Bray Jr) About what?
Bray: About moving to the airport?
Amber: Oh I think it’s a great idea.
Bray: should we go pack?
[Amber places Bray Jr in Bray’s hands and kisses him.]
Amber: Now that sounds like a plan
Scene 4
[Camera fades in to show Alice’s room, the camera moves to show a figure in bed, as the camera moves closer we can see that Alice is in bed, she rolls over so that she is facing the camera, her makeup is smeared down her face and her hair is dishevelled. Footsteps can be heard as the camera pans around to show the person at the door. As the camera comes to rest on the feet of the person entering, as the sound of Alice throwing up can be heard.]
Ellie: Oh that’s charming Alice… very charming…
(Alice groans as the camera pans back around to show her wiping vomit away with the back of her hand and she groans)
Ellie: Don’t you know that it’s lunchtime already…
Alice: Don’t care…
Ellie: Alice!
Alice: Too loud…
(Ellie sighs impatiently as she taps her feet)
Ellie: Come on…
Alice: Get lost…
(Alice picks up a vomit covered shoe and chucks it at her sister before rolling over in bed)
Ellie (shrieks): That’s disgusting!
Alice: Bugger off!
Ellie: Fine… have it your way!
[Ellie storms off in a huff as the camera pans out from the room and then fades to black.]
Scene 5
[Camera is black and fades in to show May carrying a heavy laden bag, followed in by Salene, a small bundle in her arms as she beams proudly. The small group walk into the warehouse, as several of the Mallrats come to welcome them back]
Ryan: Wow Sal, you look happy!
Salene (smirks): Of course, I have a son… (Salene pauses a moment and then corrects herself) …our son…
Cass: He’s so cute…
(Patsy and KC come over to join the group)
Patsy: Can I have a hold?
(Salene looks nervous at the idea of giving up her son so quickly and holds him close to her)
May: Come on Sal… he’s not going anywhere… Patsy only wants a hold…
(Salene sighs deeply and hands over the baby to Patsy, her eyes narrow as she watches carefully. May puts a reassuring hand on Salene’s arm, but Salene shrugs it off. May sighs and gets up, leaving the group behind.)
(Lottie, who has been watching from the corner of the warehouse, sees May walk away and approaches her)
Lottie: May? Is everything okay?
May (nods): Fine (mumbles absentmindedly)
Lottie: Okay…
[The camera moves around to show the situation, Lottie walks away, her head down low as she moves to the furthermost corner from her son, May looks sadly over at the smiling Salene, who is enjoying the attention and the new baby before the camera fades to black.]
Scene 6
[The camera cuts in from the previous scene to show Cass and Ryan walking away from the people surrounding Salene and the new baby, as they return to their own corner of the warehouse, and back to their own children.]
Ryan: You ready?
Cass (frowns): For what?
Ryan: Don’t tell me you’ve already forgotten… our day out, just you and me…
(Cass smiles weakly as she picks up Kacie and cradles her daughter)
Cass: Do we have to?
Ryan: Cass, we haven’t had any time to ourselves since the twins were born…
Cass (sighs): Okay… just don’t rush me…
(Ryan waves over Cloe and Patsy as Cass starts to feed Kacie)
Patsy: You rang…
Cloe: Yeah…
Ryan: Any chance you girls can do us a favour and look after the twins for the afternoon?
Cass: You can say no if you want to!
Cloe: Are you kidding, I’d love to!
Patsy: Me too!
Ryan (smiles): So that’s a yes then?
(Patsy and Cloe nod as they dash off to get some food)
Ryan: That’s good news then, isn’t it?
Cass (nods weakly): Yeah… it is…
Ryan: We don’t have to, if you don’t want to!
Cass: I do… it’s just so hard!
Ryan: I know…
Cass: No Ryan… I don’t think you do!
[Ryan sighs as he picks up Jake and heads outside for some fresh air, the camera follows him and he sits by the doorway with his son, before cutting back to Cass as she cries quietly, and then cuts to black.]
Scene 7
[Camera fades in from the previous scene, instrumental music plays during the length of the scene cutting out the noise of the mallrats as the camera cuts from scene to scene, Lottie and Sammy dancing around trying to clear up, Ryan and Cass glaring at each other and May all alone, before the camera cuts back around to an overview of the warehouse and fades to the next scene.]
Scene 8
[Camera fades in from black to show the mallrats gathered in one of their warehouse. The Mallrats are standing in a horse shoe like shape with Gel standing in front of them with Phoenix and Apollo standing slightly behind her with their bags at their feet]
Gel: (Looking to her left) So you all know Phoenix…
Lex: (Mutters) Don’t we just!
Gel: (turning to her right) Well this is his younger brother Apollo
(Camera zooms in on Apollo who flashes the Mallrats one of his best smiles, before it zooms out again)
Lex: (Mutters to Tai-san) Two of them great!
(Lottie and Sammy who over hear snigger at this)
Bray: As much as I love family history as the next what is your point Gel?
Gel: well the thing is…
(Phoenix sets forward and interlocks his hand with Gel’s for all the Mallrats to see. Axel raises an eyebrow and shakes his head in disbelieve)
Phoenix: (Speaking up for the first time) Gel and I are a couple now and I wasn’t prepared to just throw what we have by leaving with the rest of my tribe.
(Amber, Cass, Patsy and Cloe let out a “Aww” in response to Phoenix’s speech)
Gel: (Grinning) But because they left their tribe, they have no where to live and as I am part of this tribe I would also like them to join the Mallrats!
Amber: Do they want to join?
Apollo: With all these beautiful girls (eyeing Ellie up as he says this) who wouldn’t want to join!
(In response to this, Ellie leans into Jack’s body and lets him wrap an arm around her and place a soft kiss on her forehead)
Amber: Well it is the Mallrats way to accept others into our tribe, but like always we have to put it to the vote!
Lex: (Speaking up) You are joking? We really aren’t going to let two ex-Modes join us? It will be like living with three Gels’
Patsy: Don’t be such a misery guts Lex!
Amber: Ok guys! With so much going on at the moment, we all need a time to think if we want two more people to join our tribe! Don’t forget that Phoenix was a great help in the fight against the KRUL! So we will meet in an hour and make our choice…as a tribe!
[The tribe break up into smaller groups, talking to each other as they move away to carry on with the packing ready for the move. Camera zooms in on Gel and Phoenix, as Gel rests her head on his chest]
Scene 9
[Camera cuts in to show May sitting on her bed, Oscar in his carry cot at the end of the bed, the camera moves around to show that Salene has gone to fix a bottle of milk for Oscar, before cutting back to the scene with May and Oscar.]
(May watches Oscar, who is wide awake and staring at the ceiling, she moves closer to his crib, staring at him as he gurgles away)
May: Hi Oscar… do you know who I am?
(May moves to pick up Oscar and he starts to cry, she cradles him against her chest, but he struggles against her hold as Salene comes running back)
Salene: What did you do?
May (looks worried): Nothing, I just picked him up!
Salene (angrily): Give him to me!
(Salene snatches the baby off of May, as she recoils in shock)
May: Hey!
Salene: You’re scaring him!
May: Oh… I give up!
[May storms off as Salene glares after her and gently rocks Oscar, calming down his cries before the camera fades to black.]
Scene 10
[Camera fades in from the previous scene; Apollo is sitting in the café area of the warehouse with a small bottle of water when Alice walks in. Her hair is arranged differently to how it usually is, in two braids that frame her face.]
Alice: Hi…
(Apollo glances up at Alice and raises an eyebrow)
Apollo: Can I help you?
Alice: A hello is nice…
Apollo (sarcastically): Hello!
(Alice rolls her eyes and heads to the food supply, as she rummages through the boxes she turns to face him, pulling out a tin of peaches)
Alice: Want some?
Apollo: Nah… I’m watching my figure thanks!
Alice (smirks): I’ll watch it for you!
(Apollo blushes as he flicks his hair to one side)
Apollo: And why would you do that? See something you like?
Alice: Maybe… what’s it to you?
Apollo: I’m a hot guy… girls want me, guys envy me… I only take the best!
(Alice shakes her head)
Alice: You’re a kid… not really my type… I like a real man!
Apollo: I’m a real man!
[Alice laughs as she walks out of the room; Apollo can be heard protesting her description of him as a kid, as the camera fades to black.]
Scene 11
[Camera fades in from the previous scene to show Cloe sitting outside the warehouse, her legs dangle over the edge of the pier she is on. Footsteps can be heard, as the camera pans around to show that the feet belong to May. Cloe looks up at her and smiles.]
May: Hey Cloe… mind if I sit?
(Cloe looks down at the space next to her and shakes her head)
Cloe: It’s all yours…
(May sits down on the edge of the pier)
May: It’s pretty out here…
Cloe (distantly): Yeah it is… did you, um… want something?
May (sighs): I have a message… from Crow!
Cloe (frowns): What? What is it?
May: He said to tell you that he was leaving and that he’s sorry for everything that happened…
(Cloe sighs)
Cloe: Good riddance…
May (raises an eyebrow): You guys didn’t part on good terms then?
Cloe (shakes her head): No… needless to say that he was a jerk… a typical man… I did a good thing leaving him…
May (laughs): That’s why… men are jerks and women are so much better! Usually!
[May and Cloe laugh as the camera cuts to the next scene.]
Scene 12
[Camera fades in from previous scene to show that the Mallrats have reassembled in the warehouse again, with Amber standing in front of them all. Phoenix and Apollo are standing behind Amber waiting to find out if they will be accepted into the tribe. The Mallrats are talking to themselves unaware that Amber is waiting for them to quiet down so that she can talk]
Amber: (Raising her voice for the first time) Can we please have some quiet in here!
(After a couple of seconds the talking comes to a stop and everyone has their full attention on Amber)
Amber: (Breathes a sign or relive) Thank you.
(Apollo leans towards his brother)
Apollo: (Whispering) You sure you want to join them?
Phoenix: Shh
Amber: Right guys, we have all had an hour to think about the idea of Phoenix and Apollo, Ex members of the Modes, to join our tribe. At the end of the day I would just like to remind you all that they both played a part in the take down of the Kruls and that Phoenix almost lost his live in helping us. So with a show of hands who is in favour of letting the two boys joining the tribe?
(Gel’s hand is the first to shot up closely followed by Lottie, Sammy and Darryl. Jack, Ellie, Tai-San, Cass, Ryan and Amber follow suit and it isn’t long before the rest of the Mallrats raise their hands. With a roll of his eyes, Axel also raises his hand)
Amber: (smiling) Then it is decided, (turning to the brother) Phoenix, Apollo welcome to the Mallrats.
[The Mallrats start clapping and Gel runs into Phoenix arms. As the tribe greet their newest two members of the tribe, Axel sneaks away to carry on packing his things. Camera slowly fades into black]
Scene 13
[Darryl and Axel are in Darryl’s room, looking after Brady.]
Darryl: Will you two hold still! How am I supposed to draw you both if you keep moving?
Axel: I can’t help it. She keeps tickling me.
[Brady starts to giggle and jumps on Axel’s stomach again]
Axel: Ooff! Brady!
[Darryl laughs at the pair as Brady continues to jump and tackle Axel.]
[Cloe appears at the door]
Cloe: Looks like you guys are having a party! Mind if I join?
Axel: (looks at Darryl) go ahead. I have to get something for Brady to eat anyway. (Turing to look at Brady) Coming Brady?
Brady: Yeah!
[Both Axel and Brady leave the room with Axel looking back at Darryl and gives him a concerned look]
Cloe: So just the two of us?
Darryl: Certainly seems that way.
[Cloe peers over Darryl's shoulder and looks at the drawing]
Cloe: That’s so life like.
Darryl: Thanks. It’s kinda hard when they don’t stop moving.
Cloe: It’s nice that you have a best friend in Axel. I feel the same about Patsy
Darryl: (quickly suppresses a cheeky smile) Yeah we certainly get along well.
Cloe: (Not looking at Darryl) Darryl, I was wondering if maybe sometime you might want to get together sometime? Like, go have a drink somewhere
Darryl: Oh, wow that’s really sweet Cloe...
[Darryl starts to panic, he can’t think of a simple reason to refuse Cloe]
Cloe: Great! Do you want to meet up this Friday then?
Darryl: Um... sure
Cloe: cool! See you then.
[Cloe walks from the room. Darryl is left shaking his head]
Darryl: How am I going to explain this to Axel?
[Scene fades with Darryl walking out of the room to find Axel]
Scene 14
[Camera fades in to show Lex and Tai-san packing up a couple of boxes as Lex stops what he is doing and pulls Tai-san into a tight embrace.]
Tai-san (squeals): Lex!
(Lex laughs and spins Tai-san around as the pair of them collapse onto the camping bed)
Tai-san: What’s all this about?
Lex: About us… we need to take some time… to see us, the real us!
Tai-san: Lex, why are you speaking in riddles?
Lex: I’m not…
(Lex suddenly drops to one knee as Tai-san frowns at him strangely)
Tai-san: What… what are you doing?
Lex: I’m asking you… to marry me!
Tai-san: But we’re already married!
Lex: Yeah… but I’m asking you to marry me again, to renew our vows!
(Tai-san sighs and steps back)
Tai-san: But why?
Lex: Because I love you, and because I want the whole tribe to know…
Tai-san: Okay…
Lex: Is that a yes then?
Tai-san (nods): Yes…
(Lex stands up and picks up Tai-san, spinning her around and around)
Lex: I’m getting married…
Tai-san: …again!
[Camera fades to black.]
Scene 15
[Gel, Phoenix, Ryan, KC and Apollo are standing at the entrance to the airport]
Gel: Home sweet home!
[Phoenix drapes an arm around Gel]
Phoenix: It most certainly is
[Gel giggles and lightly plants a kiss on Phoenix’s lips]
KC: All right, you love birds, since we all drew the short straw; we have to start cleaning up.
Ryan: I’ll take the top floor. See what rooms we can use as a bedrooms and what can be used as communal areas.
KC: I didn’t even think you knew what “communal” meant.
Ryan: (blushing) Ah well, Cass has been helping me extend my vocabulary since the twins were born. She wants them to have some idea on how to say stuff.
KC: (laughing) With you as their Dad Ryan, they can never go wrong.
[KC takes a quick look around.]
KC: All right, well if no one objects, I’ll start to have a look at the luggage left behind. Maybe we can find some more baby clothes and stuff.
Gel: (suspicious) Is there something you want to tell us KC?
KC: Huh?
Gel: Baby clothes...
Ryan: Patsy...
[KC thinks over what Gel and Ryan have said before a look of horror takes over his face]
KC: Oh god NO!
[Phoenix starts to laugh his head off clutching his stomach and Ryan and Gel start to laugh at Phoenix’s laugh.]
[Apollo looks on at the group in disgust.]
KC: Hey, it’s not that funny.
Gel: Well it’s good to know where you stand on the situation.
Ryan: Let’s leave the gob smacked KC to it then and start.
Gel: All right.
Phoenix: We’ll take downstairs
[KC and Ryan wander off to their designated areas.]
Gel: Jack should be coming soon to set up the new security equipment.
Phoenix: That’s good. We never had any real security system with the Modes. That’s probably why we were so vulnerable.
[A sneer is hear from Apollo]
Phoenix: What’s your problem Apollo?
Apollo: My problem?
Gel: You seem a little down
Apollo: I don’t like being roped into cleaning duties
Phoenix: I can’t believe how selfish you’re being
Apollo: Selfish?
Phoenix: Yes selfish!
Apollo: You want to talk selfish? Fine, you leave the Modes for a girl. Selfish? In addition, you drag me along with you. Selfish? Talk to me Phoenix when you actually know what the word means.
[Apollo leaves the airport and head towards the tarmac.]
[Phoenix moves to go after him but is held back by Gel.]
Gel: let him go.
Phoenix: Yeah, I’ve made my choice
Gel: Yeah and I know it’s the right one.
Phoenix: Me too. Let’s get going. I need everyone to like me in the tribe.
Gel: Hahaha true.
[Phoenix and Gel start to pick up trash that is lying around the airport as the scene fades to black.]
Scene 16
[The camera fades in from black to show Cass and Ryan sitting on a blanket, Ryan’s head rests in Cass’s lap as she strokes his head, the camera pans in to show Ryan’s content face, before panning back. Cass suddenly stands up and lets Ryan’s head drop against the floor.]
Ryan: Ouch!
(Cass picks up her bag and starts to walk off back towards the Mallrats base)
Ryan: Cass!
(Ryan runs after Cass, until he reaches her and puts his hands on his shoulders)
Ryan: Hey! What’s all this!
Cass (sighs): I can’t do it Ryan!
Ryan: Can’t what?
Cass: I can’t be away from the twins anymore… I’m missing them too much!
Ryan: Oh Cass… there’s no need to be sorry!
(Cass sighs sadly and slumps into Ryan’s arms)
Cass: I’m such a muppet! Why can’t I leave my babies, even for 5 minutes?
Ryan: It’s natural Cass… it shows how much we love them! Do you want to go back home?
Cass (nods): You don’t mind?
Ryan (shakes his head): Of course not… as long as my family is happy, I’m happy!
[Ryan slips his hand into Cass’s as they head back to where the rest of the stuff is, and they start to pack it all up before the camera fades out.]
Scene 17
[Camera fades in from black to show Trudy hiking through a heavy wooden area; she hears crackling behind her when she turns around to the direction of where it has come from.]
Trudy: Look, I’m fed up with this… who’s there?
(More crackling can be heard as Trudy spins around 180 degrees, the camera following her every move)
Trudy: Look… I’m going to find out who you are… one way or another!
[Trudy spins around again, the camera pans out to show Trudy and a figure clothed in black creeping out and cracking her on the head, as Trudy groans and slumps to the ground. The camera zooms to her crumpled figure before fading to black.]
Scene 18
[Bray is sitting on the floor of his room in the warehouse looking after Brady and Bray Jr as Amber is packing their belongings in the bags for the move to the airport.]
[Bray and Brady are playing with some building blocks.]
Amber: Hey Bray
Bray: (not looking up) Mmmm?
Amber: I’m going to get some more bags and boxes. Do you need anything?
Bray: No I’m good thanks
Amber: All right, I’ll be back in a second.
[Amber leaves the room.]
Bray: Hey kids, want to start helping me pack up the blocks?
[Bray Jr and Brady quickly look at each other and Brady steps forward.]
Brady: Bray?
Bray: Brady
Brady: Where to babies come from?
[Bray stops playing with the blocks and looks at Brady who stares at Bray.]
Bray: Umm...
Brady: What?
Bray: (mumbling to himself) I thought I’d be having this conversation when I was 40 not 20.
Brady: Did I say something wrong?
Bray: Oh no sweetheart. I just don’t know how to answer the question.
Brady: Why is it so hard?
Bray: well, babies come from somewhere that is magical and special.
Brady: Like little Bray?
Bray: and you
[Brady smiles with delight]
Bray: When two people love each other very much, they are able to decide to have a baby.
Brady: But I wasn’t planned and neither was little Bray
Bray: How do you know that?
Brady: I hear people
Bray: Brady you were a wonderful surprise.
Brady: But why if were we good, that you didn’t see little Bray for over two years?
Bray: Because I was taken away.
Brady: Oh yeah.
Bray: Maybe you should ask your mum this question
Brady: Ok, when she comes back.
Bray: Yeah, but don’t ask her straight away. Let her have some time to relax first.
[Amber walks into the room.]
Brady: Amber! I was a wonderful surprise!
Amber: Really?
Brady: Yes, and I’m going to tell Lex he was wrong come on little Bray.
[Brady takes Bray Jr’s hand and they both walk out of the room with screaming, “we were wonderful surprises!”]
Amber: (curiously) What has been going on here?
Bray: I got “the question”
Amber: The question?
Bray: Where do babies come from?
Amber: (surprised) No!
Bray: Yes
Amber: (sitting down next to Bray) I always thought that I would have that conversation when I was 50
Bray: (laughing) I said 40
Amber: (laughing) much more realistic then
[Both stop laughing and start to pack away the building blocks]
[Amber picks up a block and tosses it in the air.]
Amber: You know, I wouldn’t mind some practise in the baby department
Bray: Just practise right?
Amber: Oh yeah. Not another baby for a while, and I’m going to tell you straight away if that changes.
Bray: Well maybe some practise is in order then.
[Bray and Amber start to kiss furiously, the camera backs out of the room as Amber kicks the door shut]
Scene 19
[The camera slowly fades in from black to show Darryl sitting at the edge of the dock with his legs hanging over the edge and with his shoes sat next to him. Darryl gently swings his legs backwards and forwards and looks off into the distance lost in his own thoughts. Camera pans around to show Axel sitting next to him but Darryl doesn’t notice. Axel gently nudges his boyfriend and gives him a warm smile when he turns to look at him]
Axel: (concerned) Are you ok Darryl?
Darryl: (Slowly nodding) Yea, just got a lot on my mind
Axel: Care to share?
(Axel places his hand on top of Darryl’s and gently squeezes his hand)
Darryl: (Turns to face Axel) I’ve been thinking about me, about us!
Axel: (Shocked) What about us? I thought everything between us was going great
Darryl: It was…it still is.
(Darryl pushed himself up and Axel follows suit)
Darryl: I think it’s time we tell the tribe about us, you know the fact that we are a couple; I hate the fact that we have to keep it secret from everyone, our friends, our family.
Axel: (Places his hands on Darryl shoulders) If you tell them that we are a couple, it means that you will be coming out to them. Are you ready to come out Darryl?
Darryl: (Shrugs) I dunno…I think so.
Axel: Don’t rush into Darryl, take your time…don’t tell them until your ready. But when you are ready, I’ will stand by your side, holding your hand
(Darryl moves forward and into Axel’s embrace, resting his head on his lover’s shoulder, and placing a small kiss on his neck)
Darryl: (Whispers) Do you promise?
Axel: Of course I do, you mean the world to me Darryl.
[Camera pans out as the two boys stay in their tight embrace. Camera slowly fades to black]
Scene 20
[Camera fades in from black to show Patsy and Cloe stood in the warehouse makeshift kitchen sorting out Tin cans and putting them into cardboard boxes. Cloe is humming to herself as she goes about the task]
Patsy; (Smiling) You seem very happy today? So come on spill the beans what…or who has but a spring into your step?
Cloe: (Grins) Oh nothing, I’m just happy…can’t I be happy for a change?
Patsy: Well of course you can but come on I can tell that someone has put a smile on your face?
(Cloe closes the filled box and turns to face Patsy)
Cloe: If I tell you, will you promise to keep it a secret?
Patsy: (Doing the actions as she says it) Cross my heart and hope to die!
Cloe: (Grins) I’m going on a date!
(Patsy lets out a loud screech before jumping towards Cloe and pulling her long term friend into a hug)
Patsy: (Still excited pulls away from the hug) Come on you have to tell me who’s it with?
Cloe: Umm…Darryl.
Patsy: (Calms down ands raises an eyebrow) Darryl? What as in Darryl, our Darryl?
(Cloe nods her head going a slight shade a red)
Patsy: (Smiles) He’s nice…cute…but I wouldn’t think he was your type?
Cloe: (Shrugs) Well I might as well give it a go, you never know it could be love!
Patsy: (Nods) It might be but don’t put your hopes up just yet hun!
(Cloe nods in reply and starts to pack the next box)
Patsy: (Smiling) We need to find you something to wear which will knock him dead!
Cloe: (Smiling back) Without a doubt
[Camera slowly pans out before cutting to the following scene]
Scene 21
[Lottie and Sammy are in bed after spending some quality time together]
[Both are holding each other in their arms slowly rubbing each other’s arms and caressing each other.]
[Sammy’s eyes are closed as Lottie opens hers]
Lottie: Sammy?
Sammy: (not opening his eyes) Yeah?
Lottie: It’s about Oscar
Sammy: (opens his eyes and looks at Lottie) What about him?
Lottie: I’m nervous about him with Salene and May. He’s not mine anymore, but I still hold feelings for him.
Sammy: He’s a part of you. It would be hard to let that go.
Lottie: (tears welling in her eyes) I just wish the pain would go away.
[Sammy takes Lottie’s hand in his]
Sammy: Lottie, I promise you that I will be there for you. I’ll help you through this.
Lottie: Thanks Sammy.
Sammy: Anytime
Lottie: I’ll try to get some sleep now before we move.
Sammy: I like that idea.
[Scene fades as Lottie and Sammy begin to fall asleep]
Scene 22
[Camera pans around Gel’s makeshift bed to show her looking through an old photo album, in it are pictures from before the virus, pictures of her younger self with her best friend Luna and Phoenix. Phoenix sits next to Gel and wraps one of his arms around her waist]
Phoenix: (Raises an eyebrow) You still have it?
Gel: (Nods) It was one of the things I was able to grab before you chucked me out of the tribe, I don’t think I could ever throw it away, its part of my life!
Phoenix: (Shrugs his shoulder) Yea but things are different now, Luna is no longer part of our lives, we are now back together, why don’t we just forget about what happened before and start a fresh.
(Gel closes the pink photo album and slips it into her bag)
Gel: (Turns to her side) Can I ask you a question?
Phoenix: OF course you can!
Gel: Why did you decided to stay with me?
Phoenix: (laughs) You know why!
Gel: Please Phoenix; I need to you say it!
(Phoenix nods understanding what Gel means and takes her hand between both of his)
Phoenix: The reason why I decided to stay with you is because you’re right we do have so much history between us, and when we were good, we were really good and yeah we have had our problems in the past but I want to put that between us, I wanna see how good we can really become because at one point in my life I thought I loved you, and I want to be in love with you again, cause you are everything I want!
(Camera focuses on Gel who is stunned into silence for the first time, her eyes swell up and tears still to fall from her eyes. Phoenix reaches out and wipes the tears away before he leans in and places a small kiss on her cheek)
Phoenix: we have a second chance Gel, we shouldn’t waste it
[Gel nods unable to speak and throws her arms around his neck crying into his shoulder. Camera slowly fades to black]
Scene 23
[Camera fades in from back to another part of the warehouse where Salene is sitting in an old rocking chair feeding Baby Oscar his bottle, she gently rocks the chair backwards and forwards as she hums a soft lullaby to him]
(Camera pans out to reveal Lottie leaning against a pillar, watching Salene with her son. She closes her eyes as tears start to roll down her cheeks. One of her hands gently strokes her stomach)
(Feeling that someone is watching her, Salene looks around the room but Lottie slips further into the shadows so that she won’t be seen. Salene shakes her head and turns her attention back to her son)
[Lottie wipes her eyes with the back of her hands before turning away and back towards her bed]
Scene 24
[The Mallrats and the Freedom Fighters have gathered in the warehouse where everything have been packed and stacked for moving]
[Amber and Dreamer are standing in the middle of the two tribes]
Amber: Thanks Dreamer, for everything.
Dreamer: Its fine, it’s important to have allies in these times
Amber: Whole-heartedly agree.
Lex: No hard feelings then Dreamer?
Dreamer: For now, no
Lex: Great. Send our regards to Ebony
Dreamer: I don’t think that they’d be received well but I’ll pass them on.
[Amber reaches forward and shakes Dreamer’s hand.]
Amber: Thanks again
[Amber turns back to her tribe]
Bray: All right Mallrats, Move out!
[Cheers erupt from the Mallrats.]
[Scene fades with the Mallrats slowly moving down the street and the Freedom fighters looking on.]
Scene 25
[Camera slowly fades in from black to show Dreamer looking down at the camera]
Dreamer: (Concern) You all right down there?
(Camera slowly pans out to show that Dreamer is leaning over Ebony who is lying on the floor in Dreamer’s office. Ebony slowly pushes herself up)
Ebony: (Confused) What? What happened?
Dreamer: (Holds her hand out to help Ebony stand up) You fainted again, Ebony
Ebony: (Rubs her head) I don’t understand why this keeps happening to me?
Dreamer: Ebony, don’t go mad or anything but…do you think you could be pregnant?
Ebony: What? No way
[Camera zooms in on Ebony confused face before cutting into end credits]
