Scene 1
[Camera fades in from opening credits to show Cloe sitting with her back against a tree in a nearby park and watching the sun rise over the city. It looks like Cloe spent the whole night under the tree. Cloe rubs her eyes and for the first time in a long time she notices the Mallrat's symbol on her hand.]
Cloe: (Mutters) Mallrats…more then a name…it’s a future!
(Cloe tries to rub the marking off with her other hand but it doesn’t even smudge)
Cloe: (CONT) What does my future really hold for me? Do I still belong with the Mallrats or is my future away from the tribe?
[Cloe shrugs as she pushes herself up off the ground and heads back towards the Airport before fading into black]
Scene 2
[Camera fades in from black to show Salene pacing in her bedroom as May leans against the doorway]
Salene: That bitch!
May: Sal!
Salene: What?!
May: Don't be like this!
(Salene stops pacing to glare at May)
Salene: Like what? You know she's going to want him back. She's going to try and take my son away from me!
May: He's my son too!
Salene: Well you never seem interested in him, so forgive me if I don't ask your opinion!
(May looks shocked and hurt)
May: Well he's my son too! And I'm worried about handing him back, but Sal.... Lottie's his mother, she deserves to be with him!
Salene: Deserves to be with him!? That tramp couldn't wait to get rid of him... and now when she wants him back we're just supposed to hand him back!
May: Yes!
Salene: Well I won't!
(May shakes her head)
May: I can't talk to you when you're like this!
Salene: So get lost then!
May: Sal?!
Salene: You heard me! Get lost!
[May sadly walks out of the room as the camera fades out.]
Scene 3
[The camera fades in from black to show Tai-san sitting cross legged on the floor in her bedroom, she breathes deeply as the sounds of relaxing music play on the radio.]
(Tai-san breathes deeply as she opens her eyes, reaches for a nearby match box and lights an incense stick)
Tai-san: Relax, concentrate and the meaning of the dream will come…
[Tai-san breaths deeply once more as the camera zooms into her face and fades out.]
Scene 4
[The camera fades in on Darryl who is sitting in his bedroom looking out of the window, he turns away and grabs his jacket of the back of his chair before leaving his room. The camera follows him as he makes his way through the airport. Darryl finds himself standing outside of Axel’s room, he knocks on the door a few times and steps back while he waits for Axel to come to the door]
(A few seconds later the door opens and a topless and still half asleep Axel is standing in the open doorway his head resting on the frame)
Darryl: (Smirks) Morning
(Axel attempts to reply but sticks with a smile. Darryl closes the gap between them and presses his lips against Axel’s)
Axel: (Grins) Talk about a wake up!
Darryl: (nods) Now get ready we’re going out!
Axel: (Confused) Going out, where?
Darryl: (Shrugs) I dunno, just out…some time away, you know just me and you!
Axel: (Nods) Alright! Just give me five to get ready.
[Darryl smiles and both boys slip back into Axel’s room before the camera fades to black]
Scene 5
[The camera fades in from black to show Dreamer, Ebony, some of the Freedom Fighters, Trudy, Enola, Slade and Calli sitting around enjoying a meal. Slade glances at Trudy, Enola glares at Slade and Calli kicks Enola. The camera then moves around to Ebony and Dreamer as they whisper to themselves.]
Dreamer: So, what are your plans?
Calli: Trudy… invited us to join the Mallrats…
Ebony (dryly): Lucky you!
(Trudy shoots Ebony a dirty look)
Calli: So, we’re on our way there…
Slade: But I think it’s safe to say… that we could do with a couple of days to get our strength back and deal with things…
Dreamer: Well you’re welcome to stay here!
(Ebony looks pissed off)
Ebony: Dreamer!
Dreamer: What?
(Ebony shakes her head and storms off)
Dreamer: Ebony?
Slade (shakes his head): Don’t worry… she’s just making a scene!
Dreamer (sadly): Yeah…
Trudy: But I’m sure we’d all love to stay for a few days? Right?
(Trudy looks to Calli)
Calli (nods): Yeah…
Dreamer: Great…
[Dreamer gets up and walks in the direction of where Ebony stormed off as Calli glances at Slade and shrugs, the camera then fades to black.]
Scene 6
[Camera fades in from the previous scene to show KC and Patsy eating lunch in the cafe, KC stares lovingly at Patsy. May walks into the cafe, sees the and walks out. Patsy looks at where May has left sadly.]
Patsy: Its sad.
KC: What is?
Patsy: May and Salene. And the trouble with Oscar.
KC: Its inevitable really.
Patsy: What is?
KC (frowns): That they had to give the kid back. It's not like they'd ever get to keep it.
(Patsy puts down her fork and looks at KC)
Patsy: What do you mean?
KC: Well it was always going to be temporary.
Patsy: No... they were planning to raise the kid!
KC: But how could they? Raise someone else's kid! I know I couldn't!
(Patsy shakes her head)
Patsy: I can't believe you'd say that!
KC: Why not? It's true! You can't love a child as much when it's not your own!
(Patsy stands up and shakes her head)
Patsy: I didn't think you were that narrow minded KC!
KC: I'm not. I'm just saying!
Patsy: Yeah, well... I'm not listening!
[Patsy walks out of the cafe as KC groans and the camera fades to black.]
Scene 7
[The camera cuts in from the previous scene. Calli is singing softly to Rain as she tries to get her daughter to sleep, she gently brushes the hair away from her daughter’s face and kisses her good night. The camera then follows Calli as she leaves the room and walks into the corridor, as the camera pans around we can see that Enola is waiting for Calli.]
Calli (jumps): Jeez, you made me jump!
Enola: Sorry!
Calli: Did you want something, or do you make a habit of hanging around doorways?
(Enola sighs sadly and Calli puts a hand on her shoulder)
Calli (concerned): Enola?
Enola: I don’t trust her!
Calli (frowns): Who? Ebony?
Enola (shakes her head): No! Trudy!
Calli: Oh, for goodness sake… not this again!
Enola: What? Are you telling me you trust her?
Calli: I have no reason not to trust her! Why don’t you just deal with it!
Enola: I don’t want to! I don’t like her!
(Calli sighs angrily)
Calli: You know what, I don’t really care… I don’t have time for this and I don’t really care. Trudy is a good person, she’s offered us a new home. I suggest you get use to having her around!
[Calli stomps out of the corridor leaving behind a glum Enola as the camera fades to black.]
Scene 8
[The camera fades in from the previous scene to show Tai-san sitting in the café, she is holding a warm cup of herbal tea, the camera pans to show the steam from the cup as footsteps are heard in the background. The camera then pans out to show two people walking into the café.]
Apollo: Mm that smells good, what is it?
Tai-san: Herbal tea…
(Apollo wrinkles his nose)
Apollo: I’d rather have a cup of caffeine any day!
(Tai-san laughs weakly as she looks up and sees that Caleb is standing in the corner of the café)
Tai-san: Hi Caleb… didn’t see you come in…
Caleb: I move quietly…
Apollo: Coffee?
(Caleb nods and grabs a seat next to Tai-san. Apollo brings over two cups of coffee and places one in front of Caleb as he sits opposite Tai-san. Tai-san frowns and places her hand over her mouth to fight back the nausea.)
Apollo: Tai-san? Are you okay?
(Tai-san shakes her head and gets up… leaving the café quickly. The camera pans around and follows her as she leaves the café. Tai-san stops in the corridor and frowns as she takes her hand off her mouth)
Tai-san: Odd.
[The camera fades to black.]
Scene 9
[The camera fades in from the previous scene to show KC pacing around his room. Patsy walks past and blanks him. ]
KC: Bloody women!
[KC storms out of the room, right past Patsy, blanking her and out into the fresh air as he keeps walking. The camera follows him for a couple of minutes before slowly fading to black.]
Scene 10
[Camera fades in from black to show Amber and Bray lying in bed both reading books, Bray Jnr. sits between them, looking through his own book, every now and then he looks up to see if his parents have put their books down, letting out a loud huff, the young boy then decides to jump onto his dad]
(Both Amber and Bray realise they can’t read anymore and give their son their full attention. Camera pans around to show Lottie standing in the door way with a smile on her lips, she is about to knock on the door frame, when Amber looks up and notices Lottie)
Amber: (Smiles) You can come in you know?
(Lottie smiles back and makes her way into the room, she standing in the middle of the room uneasy)
Amber: Is something the matter?
Lottie: (nods) You could say that?
Amber: Come sit down….
(Bray stands up, sweeping Bray Jnr. into his arms, and gives both Amber and Lottie a smile before he leaves, closing the door behind him)
Amber: How can I help?
Lottie: It’s about Oscar…my son!
Amber: (lets out a sigh) I knew this day would come, sooner or later
Lottie: I didn’t mean for this to happen, I thought I could cope with it all, but I can’t I want my son back Amber…I need him back!
Amber: (Nods) I understand, I truly do, have you spoken to May and Salene about it?
(Lottie nods, as tears start to roll from her eyes)
Amber: But they won’t give him back?
Lottie: Salene refuses to let me go anywhere near him, she won’t give him back to me Amber, she won’t let me have my son back…please Amber help me get Oscar back?
Amber: (nods) You have my word Lottie…You will have your son back, I’m just worried what damage this will do to the tribe!
Lottie: (Looks away) I’m sorry
Amber: (smiles) It’s ok
[Amber pulls Lottie into a tight embrace…as the camera zooms out before fading to black]
Scene 11
[Camera fades in from black to show Axel and Darryl, walking hand in hand along an empty beach, both of them holding their shoes in their other hands. As they walk further along the beach, Darryl rests his head on Axel’s shoulder]
Darryl: (Whispers) Glad you came!
Axel: (Smirks) Meh I guess
(Darryl pulls away with a shock look on his face)
Darryl: You guess? What’s that meant to mean?
Axel: Well I could thinks of other things I would rather be doing then walking along a beach
Darryl: (grins) Oh and what would those be?
Axel: Catch me and you’ll find out!
(As Axel throws his shoes into the sand and runs off at full speed away from Darryl, Just can’t get enough performed by the Saturdays start up)

(Darryl lets out a laugh before he to drops his shoes into the sand and runs after Axel. Camera pans out as Darryl chases after Axel)

(Darryl is able to catch up with Axel and ruby tackles him to the ground, both boys crying of laughter, Darryl presses his body down on Axel and kisses him on the neck, before standing up and pulling Axel up after him)

(Darryl pulls Axel towards and before Axel is able to pull away, Darryl spins him around and pushes him into the sea)

(Darryl runs into the sea after Axel and dunks him. As they both come up from under the water. Darryl wraps his arms around Axel’s neck and they kiss full of lust)

Scene 12
[The camera cuts in from the previous scene to show Tai-san sitting on her bed as Lex walks into the room. He sits down on the bed and smiles. Tai-san continues to stare straight ahead. Lex waves his hand in front of her face.]
Lex: Tai-san?
(Tai-san remains staring)
Lex: Earth to Tai-san!
(Tai-san frowns and glares at Lex)
Tai-san (angrily): What?!
Lex: I wanted to talk!
Tai-san: I’m busy!
Lex: Sorry…
Tai-san: Then get a clue… leave me alone!
[Lex looks hurt as he stands up, shakes his head at Tai-san and leaves the room, the camera follows him before fading.]
Scene 13
[The camera fades in from black to show Trudy putting out the sheets to dry as she pegs them to the washing line. As she goes to pick up a new sheet she turns to watch the rest of the tribe as they do various chores, Dreamer is cleaning weapons, Enola peeling vegetables, Calli washing and Slade cleaning fish. As the song ‘Ironic’ by Alanis Morisette plays]

Scene 14
[Camera fades in from black to show Gel and Phoenix lying on Gel’s bed, as they are making out, Gel slips her hand up Phoenix’s top. Phoenix pushes her hand away and breaks the kiss}
Phoenix: (Signs) Gel!
Gel: (rolls her eyes) I know….but I want to! Phoenix I’m ready!
Phoenix: (Runs his hand along her check) You might be ready Gel, but I’m not! Please understand Gel…
(Gel is taken back a bit to start with but nods still the same)
Gel: I understand and you know I will wait for ever for you, cause I love you!
(Phoenix smiles and pulls gel in for another kiss)
(Camera pans around to show Apollo standing in the shadows, he tries his hardest not to laugh before he sneaks back out of the jet)
[Camera zooms in on the couple kissing before fading out]
Scene 15
[The camera pans in on Calli as she sleeps in her bed, the camera moves around to show her daughter Rain asleep in bed, and then back to Calli.]
FLASHBACK
Bray: To the end of our nightmares and the beginning of a new future. May the banquet last for ever.
Danni: To equality and caring for each other (and fun, insists KC)
Tai‑San: To inner peace and my new bodyguard [Alice]
Jack: To computer boffins ruling the world (together with their handymen, adds Dal)
Ryan: To families; our Mallrat Family
Patsy: To little guys being taken as much notice of as big guys
Trudy: Sorry, what did you say?,
Bray: To peace, and Mallrats. MALLRATS!

(Calli turns over in bed)

Lex: Hail to the Leader!
Danni: I'm not in the mood, Lex
Lex: Ah, what's wrong? You stuck on your Bill of Rights? I could help
Danni: Yeah, I can imagine!
Lex: Straight up; I believe in rules and all that - I'd be good at it
Danni: I can see it now: a charter for thieves, liars and con men
Lex: My! We really are upset. Mind you, I'd be upset too if I were you: I mean, don't you ever wonder why she told him?
Danni: What?
Lex: Why Tai-San told "Pretty-Boy" the formula? You're not leaving? Was it something I said?
END FLASHBACK
(Calli turns over in bed)

Danni: Hi!
Bray: Been for a nice stroll?
Danni: I've been looking for Trudy
Bray: On your own?
Danni: Yeah, well I couldn't stand Lex throwing his weight around.
Bray: Don't you think that's kind of foolish, Danni; the Chosen could have got you
Danni: Would anybody care?
Bray: We can't afford to lose anybody else
Danni: I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean... I came to apologize - about yesterday. "Throwing my dolly out of the pram"
Bray: I know what you're talking about but I'm kind of busy right now.
END FLASHBACK
(Calli turns over in bed)
FLASHBACK
Trudy: Hello. How do you like the accommodation?
Danni: What do you want Trudy?
Trudy: I just thought I should apologize about yesterday. I know how much you like your meetings to go off without a hitch.
Danni: It's funny, I should feel surprised that you betrayed us, shocked. I should feel something. But, you know what, I don't.
Trudy: No, but I know you don't like to lose control. You're like Amber in that respect. I guess that's why Bray took up with you. You remind him of her.
Danni: Is that all?
Trudy: I just thought you'd like to know, it's time for you to see him again.
Danni: Bray? Bray's here?
Trudy: Soon. The Guardian gave him till noon to surrender, or you'll die. And you know what Bray's like. He's far too gallant to ignore a damsel in distress.
Danni: Unless it's you.
END FLASHBACK
(Calli turns over in bed)
FLASHBACK
Danni: Looks to me like you're outnumbered
Guardian: Or perhaps they've come to worship at my new Temple!
Danni: Believe that and you're even crazier than I took you for
Guardian: You underestimate me, Danni. I will succeed where you and Bray have failed
Danni: Succeed in what?
Guardian: Uniting the people in a common cause
Danni: Except our common cause is freedom, not slavery
Guardian: It's not slavery to serve Zoot, but a privilege
Danni: You really convinced of that? Why don't you go and talk to them. try and win them over but without the use of force. Let the people decide for themselves
Guardian: I intend to. Except it won't be me who talks to them and wins their trust
Danni: Oh? Don't tell me the Mighty Zoot's going to put in an appearance?
Guardian: No, Danni. You are

(Calli opens her eyes and stares at the ceiling)
Calli: Who is Danni? And who are all these people…
[Camera zooms in on Calli’s face and then fades to black.]
Scene 16
[Salene sits in her room, Oscar is dressed in a fuzzy blue sleep suit and cradled in Salene's arms as she sits rocking him softly. She starts to sing a soft lullaby to him, watching as his eyes slowly fall asleep and his breathing slows, indicating that he is asleep.]
Salene: I love you... my son, my dear boy...
[The camera zooms to Oscar's sleepy face and then fades to black.]
Scene 17
[Camera fades in from black to show sitting in a café on her own, with a glass of water in front of her, in the background Lex is walking through the café, until he spots Gel. He then decides to join her]
Lex: Alright Gel?
Gel: (looks up) Lex?
Lex: I said you alright?
Gel: Yea I’m alright, just thinking things through, you know what I mean?
Lex: (Grins) Don’t go and hurt yourself now…
Gel: Ha Ha ha, very funny!
(Gel takes a sip from her glass, before placing it back onto the table)
Lex: So how are things between you and Phoenix?
Gel: (Smiles) Yea good thanks
Lex: Liar?
(Gel sits in silence for a couple of minutes thinking over if she should trust Lex)
Gel: It’s Phoenix, he says he’s not ready to…well you know…but I’m more then ready…is there something wrong with me?
Lex: (Hides his smile) Now I’m not one to normally go against sex…I can’t believe I’m going to say this…but maybe he’s right that you should wait…I mean you have a lot history between the two of you, you don’t wanna rush things and ruin it do you?
(Gel places a hand on her chest)
Gel: (In a mocking voice) OH god Lex…you do care about me?
Lex: (Confused) Huh!
(Gel jumps up and skips around the table before wrapping her arms around Lex’s neck)
Gel: (Whispers) Thanks Lex…your gunna be the best dad any girl could want!
[Gel then leaves the Café, leaving a dumb struck Lex in her wake. Camera cuts to the next scene]
Scene 18
[Camera cuts to the next scene to show Axel and Darryl lying on the sand, Darryl has his head resting on Axel’s bare chest. Darryl sits up so he is able to look Axel in the eyes]
Darryl: Can I ask you a question?
Axel: (raises an eyebrow) shot!
Darryl: Before the virus…
(Axel nods)
Darryl: Did you come out? You know to your friends and family?
Axel: (nods) But that’s not how I would put it….
Flash back
(Camera pan around a busy shopping centre, before zooming in on a younger looking Axel sitting in a fast food court by himself.)
Axel OV: My life before the virus was pretty good…I knew something wasn’t right but back then I couldn’t put my finger on it, and I was happy with it! I was an only child but I had older cousin’s. Jonson was only a couple of years older then me but we were like best friends, brothers even!
(A taller guy approaches the table which Axel is sitting at, he places a tray of food onto the table before sitting down opposite his cousin)
Axel: (smiles) Thanks!
Jonson: (nods) No problem! So anyway as I was saying, my dad is having another one of his parties tonight and as your rents are away he insisted that you come tonight!
Axel OV: My uncle Steve threw the best parties ever since him and my auntie split up but my parents never let me go as they didn’t trust him, but with them away it was my only chance to go…and it was at this party that I finally got to meet my cousin’s other best friend Harley, the guy who changed my life!
(Camera cuts to a house party, loud music blasts through large speakers in the main room’s, while people of all ages dance in the different rooms and drink from plastic cups. Camera pans around to show Axel standing in the corner drinking from a can, with Jonson standing next to him. A smile spreads across Jonson’s lips and he calls out)
Jonson: Hey Harley, over here!
(Camera pans around to show a good looking teenager talking to another group of lads turning around to his name, he smiles at Jonson and crosses the room towards him)
Axel OV: The moment I saw him, everything clicked into place, from that moment I wanted him!
Harley: Alright mate!
(Harley and Jonson shake hands, but Axel catches Harley’s eyes and the two boys share a smile)
Jonson: Harley, this is my younger cousin Axel!
(Harley then takes Axel’s hand into his own for a firm hand shake)
Harley: So you’re the famous Axel, who Jonson always talks about!
Axel OV: I spent the rest of the night with Harley, just chatting about rubbish, it was near the end of the night which he led me to one of the empty rooms!
(Harley closes Jonson’s bedroom door behind him before pushing Axel up against the nearest wall and kissing him full of passion. As the kiss depends, Axel allows Harley to remove his shirt, as Harley lowers Axel onto the bed, the scene fades out)
Axel OV: From that night, me and Harley spent every day with each other, keeping our relationship a secret from everyone else and Jonson, until the day Jonson caught us!
(Scene fades in from black to show Axel and Harley making out in Axel’s bedroom, the door is suddenly pushed open)
Jonson: What the hell?
(Harley pushes Axel of him and faces his best friend)
Harley: (shakes his head in disgust) Your cousin came onto me, the dirty queer!
Jonson: (to his cousin) Axel!
Axel: How about the other way round…your so called best friend kissed me at your dad’s party the other month!
Harley: Don’t be disgusting, I spent the night with that blonde girl, Maxxie, don’t you remember Jonson!
Jonson: (nods) Yea I do! I can’t believe my cousin is a gay!
(Axel makes his way towards his cousin)
Axel: Jonson please?
Jonson: You’re no cousin of mine!
(With in a blink of an eye, Jonson smacks Axel across the face, causing the younger boy to cry out in pain. Axel holds his bleeding nose as Jonson and Harley leaves the room)
Axel: It was Jonson that outed me to the rest of my family, my parents didn’t know what to say, my dad refused to speak to me, even on his death bed when the virus hit. It was the last time I saw Harley, although I did get a letter from him when the virus hit, saying he was sorry and that he wanted to see me again but we never got the chance. Me and Jonson were both shipped off to one of the boot camps where Jonson made every single day my living hell!
End of flash back
(Axel is now sitting up with Darryl next to him)
Axel: I hated Harley for what he did to my family, turning them against me before they all died, but more then him, I hated Jonson cause if it wasn’t Harley it would have been another guy and he would have still turned against me!
(Darryl reaches out for Axel’s shoulder but he shrugs it off)
Darryl: (whispers) I’m sorry!
[Camera zooms in on Axel before fading to black]
Scene 19
[Camera fades in from black to show Phoenix walking through one of the hallways towards the café, Apollo sneaks out from his own room and rests against the door frame]
Apollo: OH god Gel…I mean I’m just not ready for that kind of commitment!
(Phoenix spins around to face his brother)
Phoenix: (Frowns) What did you say?
Apollo: (Smirking) Gel don’t put your hand there….I’m just not ready
Phoenix: (Shakes his head) Your not funny
(Phoenix closes the gap between himself and his brother)
Apollo: It’s not my fault your not ready! If you want I could teach Gel a thing or two…
(Phoenix grabs his brother by the neck and pushes him up against the wall)
Phoenix: (Spits) Grow up Apollo
Apollo: (Scared) I’m only joking mate!
Phoenix: Well don’t!
(Apollo pushes Phoenix away before running down the corridor)
Apollo: (Calls out) Oh Gel, where are you?
[Anger runs through Phoenix and he smashing his fist into the wall. Phoenix sulks back towards the café. Camera fades out]
Scene 20
[Camera fades in from black to show Amber, Salene and May sitting around the table in the girls room]
Amber: (Shakes her head) Come on Salene be reasonable, Oscar is her son…you have to give him back
Salene: And what about me, what about what I want…she gave him up…he’s mine now…I’m sorry Amber but she made her choice!
Amber: No Salene, we are not doing this, Oscar needs his mother, you have no right to keep him, you have been wonderful parents to him so far but it’s time he went to his mother!
(Salene stands up and pushes her chair half way across the room)
Salene: (Shouting) NO way Amber, don’t come in here, telling me what I can and can not do! How would you feel if someone took Bray away from you, just the thought of losing Oscar kills me inside, can you not understand that!
May: Salene calm down
Salene: (Snaps) Don’t you start May! I don’t need it from you as well!
May: Whatever!
(May pushes herself up and leaves the room)
Amber: (Shakes her head) OH Salene!
Salene: Get out Amber…no wait I’ll go!
[Salene storms into the back room, slamming the door behind her, leaving Amber to cover her face with her heads. Camera zooms in on the closed door before fading out]
Scene 21
[Camera fades in from black to show Axel standing at the sea’s edge, he lets the water wash over his feet, he has his arms wrapped around his chest]
Harley OV: We have to keep this a secret you know? Jonson can never find out!
Axel OV: I understand! I love you Harley, you know that right?
Harley OV: (laughs) You know I feel the same!
(Axel uses one of his eyes to wipes his eyes, the memories fresh in his mind. Camera pans out to show Darryl approaching him from behind. Darryl lets out a sigh before he wraps his arms around Axel’s waist and resting his head on his boyfriends shoulder)
Darryl: I’m sorry for bringing it up, I didn’t realise how hard you had it!
Axel: (Shakes his head) Don’t worry about it, I don’t anymore, the past is in the past, I’ve moved on!
Darryl: and anyway you have me and I love you!
(Axel turns around in Darryl’s arm and lets one of his hands rest on Darryl’s check)
Axel: Thank you Darryl!
(Darryl pulls Axel into a tight embrace as the sun starts to set)
Harley OV: I’m sorry Axel for how I acted and now with the virus I don’t know if we will ever see each other again but I want you to know that I love you, and I will always love you!
[Camera zooms in on Axel who has silent tears rolling down his checks. Scene cuts to black]
Scene 22
[The camera cuts in from black to show Trudy sitting on the edge of the docks, her feet dangle over the edge as she sits watching the seagulls fly over her head. The camera pans around to show Slade approaching from the warehouse, the sounds of the seagulls and Slade’s footsteps are all that can be heard.]
Slade (softly): Trudy…
(Trudy looks up and smiles)
Trudy: Slade…
Slade: Can I…? (Slade motions to the space next to Trudy)
Trudy (nods): Oh yeah… grab a seat!
(Slade sits down next to Trudy)
Trudy: Everything alright?
Slade (distantly): Yeah…
Trudy: really?
Slade: Can I ask you a favour?
Trudy (nods): Of course you can… we’re friends aren’t we?
Slade (nods): Yeah we are.
Trudy (raises an eyebrow): So?
Slade: Oh yeah… um, I want to go to Ruby’s grave… and I don’t… I don’t really fancy going by myself. Would you come with me?
Trudy (nods): Of course I will.
[Slade nods thankfully as Trudy puts a hand on Slade’s shoulder and he smiles softly as her, the pair of them watching the sun set as the camera fades to black.]
Scene 23
[Camera fades in from black to show Axel and Darryl fast asleep on the beach, Darryl has one of his arms draped over Axel’s stomach. Haunting music starts up as the camera pans out. Eight hooded figures march past the two sleeping boys paying no attention to them. Camera cuts to the next scene]
Scene 24
[Camera pans around Cloe’s room to show Cloe and Patsy sat on the floor with their backs resting against the bed. Cloe has one arm wrapped around Patsy’s shoulder while the other girl has tears running down her checks]
Cloe: (Shakes her head) Pats, every couple have little arguments, it what makes you stronger, I bet any money, if I had any, that by tomorrow you and KC will sort it out!
Patsy: (nods) I hope your right! I love him Cloe!
(Cloe pulls Patsy into a tight embrace, before she starts to rock Patsy gently as her friends cry into her shoulder)
Patsy: see I need you Cloe…please stay with me forever!
Cloe: Shhh!
[Camera pans out as the two girls drift off to sleep. Camera fades out]
Scene 25
[As the camera fades in from black, One republic - All Fall Down starts up. Salene climbs out of bed, leaving a sleeping May to herself. In the dark she silently pulls on her clothes]
Step out the door and it feels like rain

(Salene crosses the room to Oscar’s cot, she scoops him up in her arms and holds him close against her chest.)

(Salene makes her way out of her airport keeping to the shadows, rocking Oscar gently so that he won’t wake up.)

(Salene steps over a sleeping KC before she pushes open the main door and steps out into the cold night air)
